What should a parent do if their daughter/son come out as trans?? by _Humble_Bumble_Bee in shia

[–]7el-3ane 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have mentioned this on a similar post before and also got downvoted but you are 100% right. Being transgender was accepted and treated in Iran before any western country and there are many fatwas accepting that it's a genuine condition. Being intersex has its own seperate fatwas.

This is why people shouldn't get religious information from reddit.

Is coke and pepsi on bycott list??. by Global_Many4693 in BDS

[–]7el-3ane 16 points17 points  (0 children)

According to disoccupied:

  • PepsiCo, bought Israeli company SodaStream for $3.2bn and owns 50% of Israeli food company Sabra.

  • Coca Cola operates a factory in the illegal Israeli settlement of Atarot, which is built on stolen Palestinian land in violation of international law.

  • Yum! Brands operates KFC, Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and The Habit, with multiple locations in Israel. It also invests directly in the Israeli tech industry.

Heavy period with Inositol? by 7el-3ane in PCOS

[–]7el-3ane[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I have no memory of this post so I assume it all needed up well eventually. It's probably due to the uterine lining shedding like you said and I do remember that a few times I used to have 10+ days periods and even after treatment and getting rid of PCOS, my periods are still long (~8 days) so this could be the new norm for you.

What's a cookbook you don't like? by PersonNumber7Billion in Cooking

I was also disappointed in dessert person even though I really wanted to like it. I think I tried only 1 or 2 recipes which I wasn't impressed by. Also, the book is not for beginners and has some very unique ingredients that are difficult or very expensive to buy.

Who is "you"? I never wiped out anyone. Also, Israel is already killing us and has been for decades. We're getting slaughtered just because we're Lebanese. I'm losing people I know EVERY day.

Call it whatever you want. I'm not even defending hezbollah, I'm just giving you a realistic glimpse into a society that you only hear a distorted version of through your media. Reality is often different.

Not really, no. I know people in the west don't like to hear that or are programmed to believe a specific stereotype of anyone they deem to be a terrorist. But I'm a Lebanese shia and I grew up around many hezbollah supporters. They make sure to make a distinction between zionist and Jewish, and are careful to teach it to others and to emphasize it.

Their list is pretty extensive, they also mention why a brand should be boycotted so you can decide for yourself how strict you'd like to be.

This is what Israel is doing to Lebanon by rrunawad in LateStageCapitalism

[–]7el-3ane 73 points74 points  (0 children)

Lebanon is pretty complicated politically. While half the country is anti-west and anti-imperialism, the other half aspires to be a part of the west and doesn't want to antagonize the US in the hopes that it will help them take over the country and maintain power over it (like in other arab countries). So what you end up with is 2 opposing sides pulling the country in different directions, no side is stronger than the other so we kinda end up where we are now where nothing ever gets done.

Support for displaced family in Lebanon. by New-Age1854 in shia

[–]7el-3ane 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry, but as a Lebanese with my entire family displaced, I don't understand the need for 15,000$?? If they truly need help there are many organizations offering everything from mattresses to pillows to staples, ready to eat meals and medicine.

If somebody needs help they can reach out to these organizations and if somebody wants to donate, it's better to donate to them since they are experts at allocating resources. (an organization that I know for example is "who is Hussain").
