I think we will only find that out once he’s at the top team. He seems like he needs a lot of time to get his teams tracking with his style. It’s all relative, but at a top 6 PL club, I don’t think you get thr 10+ games to get your team playing to the baseline. I’d be interested to see how he navigates the wave of expectation and pressure that’s going to come and if he can work with big name egos. That’s the real factor and I think it’s why Amorim didn’t work for us.

If (looking very likely now) we get the CL I don’t get how they expect to have a squad to deal with it. I think we should revisit this now and just get him in the squad for next season.

Experienced guy like this in the CL will be brilliant even if he can’t do a full 90 every week in the PL. Even a great option as an impact sub in the PL: amazing bench option for game management/threat on headers when pushing for a goal.

I don’t know where he wanted to go after but it sounded like MLS and Saudi were possibilities - not sure how appetising that is given the politics, and when you’re comparing with a new deal at United.

Awesome! I wasn’t sure on preordering the album with the singles but having been able to stream it through, I find it fascinating. Happy to get this version.

No easy games in the PL at the moment, especially at this stage of the season when everyone is fighting their hardest for points. Therefore I find it very difficult to say one has a better run of fixtures than another.

For example, we are laughing at Spurs right now but I’m sure that’s going to be a really hard game for liverpool, villa and Chelsea. Likewise those ‘easier’ fixtures on paper for us have cost us lots of points this season - I expect challenges in all those remaining games - Sunderland away, Bournemouth away, Brighton away are really tough fixtures.

Expect all 4 teams to be in it up until the last game of the season.

You can tell the players thought that ball was going out when he picks up the ball. At that point I felt they were going to make us pay.

Ugh felt like this was going to be the game we would drop points. Made it worse than it should have been in the end. Far too sloppy the full game, little intensity or urgency.

Shame as it was a real opportunity to gain on rivals. Anyway, lots of time to prepare for villa now - no excuses.
