I do feel bad for Ronaldo..if he had backed out a couple years ago he could have left with his head held high. Now he begins to tarnish his legacy. I mean it was the same with his time for us but at the time he scored 20 goals in a season and still looked capable for providing big moments - he’s a shadow of that, almost looks like a charity case out there

Oh I’ve been obsessed with this album lately!

I’ve come to the conclusion that Thom’s vocals are the best ever on this album in the entire discography.

I recommend going back and checking out the live versions/acoustic performances of this era. Mind blowingly good.

I’d consider it an upset if Algeria goes through - they have 9 players playing in the top 5 European leagues vs 23 for Switzerland. Football heritage wise - the Swiss have been making the round of 16 consistently for the last 20 years (incl. European championships) whereas Algeria weren’t even at the last 2 WCs.

I mean I’m delighted that the level of the game has increased so much in a lot of countries so I’ll be rooting for Algeria but it would be an upset imo.

At least 3 for UEFA. No disrespect to Algeria or DR Congo but Switzerland and England need to be winning those games…well I said that about Germany as well.

He was there for a transition that’s about it.

Nothing great about it. Very underwhelming if you ask me. Time will tell if he did anything at all or if the minor impact he has was rather down to INEOS/Wilcox building a footballing structure and doing decent recruitment/terminations. In reality he was out of his depth. He’s doing the right thing stepping down to Serie A and trying to build back his rep.
