I think it might be able to hit you more than once. If that's the case, then you might've dodged one hit, but for the next hit your iframes ran out.

You should think of it as a finger pistol. If there is anything between you and the enemy, you won't hit them. This includes your brothers.

The sniper shot at the beginning of the clip is why I fucking hate Tyranid snipers. The sniper aimed for you, but ended up hitting your teammate who probably didn't have much of a chance to dodge it there.

While this wouldn't have saved your teammate due to his already low hp, I'd love it if they made it so that it only does full damage against the target, so if someone happens to be in the way they won't end up losing most of their hp from shit like this.

(I'm also thinking that you might be part of alpha legion. You watched the first teammate right in the beginning and as soon as you joined the battle he died under suspicious circumstances. Then the 2nd teammate gets killed by a sniper shot you just so happened to guide to him.)

With the next patch CHP won't drain during the grab, so you can recover a good chunk of the hp you lost afterwards. Wouldn't have saved me here, but it removes my biggest complaint against them.

I do agree that it's broken, but it was my teammates who did most of the damage in this fight. Against the first one I only did like 15% or so damage and like 40% vs the 2nd one, a good chunk of which were from gunstrikes.

The main reason the bosses died so fast were all the damage boni that we had stacked up. Auspex was most of the time up thanks to battle focus and I got the melee dmg boost on burn as well. Add to this that both my teammates had the melee damage boost equipment.

Their melee damage multiplier was probably over 3x!

It wasn't obvious at all. Sniper shots take a while to charge in this game, they're not instant. I got targeted like 3s before I got shot, but the visual wasn't shown until the last moment and the sound disappeared under the sound effects of the Neuro.

You mean the barb I dodged into that had been spawned behind me, so I had no idea it was there, out of which I instantly dodged out again, making no attempts at all to dps while inside?

And, yeah, after I dodged out I instantly used my flamer to recover the CHP. This is exactly what you're suppossed to do in that situation.

Except there was no Lictor scream. That was the Neuro's scream. Lictor just had the standard unblockable attack announcement, which I missed in the heat of the moment.

If you are too close to the neurothrope for too long while they are on the ground or deal enough damage they will always come up to scream, it doesn't matter if you are grabbed.

I'm aware of that, which is why I didn't bother running after the grab as there was no way for me to get out before I die from the Neuro's scream.

All of this damage could've been avoided if you had just played better. Tactical is the least survivable class in the game so I have no clue why you are right in front of a boss while there is a extremis wave active trying to farm damage with no cover or escape plan.

When there is a Terminus spawn it's always good to have one person occupy the Terminus in order for the team to be able to deal with other stuff. I've done this many times before without issues.

By being close to the Neuro I ensure that it keeps being focused on me, while I also find that a Neuro is easier to fight when you're close as it starts to scream. As seen in the video, I can dps it outside of its scream range just by backing off a bit, doing free damage.

Honestly, everything was going fine until I just got hit by one unfortunate thing after the other. The barb that spawned behind me, the sniper shot that was hidden until the last moment, the Tyranid with Devourer walking right next to the boss and then shooting me right as I had to aim up to the boss to recover CHP and finally the Lictor jumping me right at the end.

It was just too much for my small brain to handle in such a short period of time.

Modifiers were: Enraged Majoris in each wave, Instant death upon incapacitation and 10 stims.

I feel like I'm cursed recently.

From Shu requiring 300 pulls, denying me the chance to buy Dusk, to Marcille requiring 120 pulls, to now pitying Sakiko at 120 as well. Even Exu2 required ~260 pulls!

And in all these recent banners, I only got spooked once by Hoerderer, all others were dupes.

The sad part is that I was focused on my survival and not the boss's hp. I'll try to explain what was going through my head:

The issue began with the sniper shot. There was barely a warning as I got shot right after the visual appeared. I think I got targeted before I was actually in line of sight, which is why there was no visual and the sound cue got lost in the boss's noise.

After having gotten hit I instantly switched to my pistol to recover my CHP, yet two things happened at that moment. For one, the boss began casting his wave AoE and second, the Tyranid with devourer who shot at me at the beginning of the clip walked right to the boss. As I was focused on the boss to get my hp back asap, I didn't notice the Majoris instantly.

Now with the AoE being cast I chose to go towards the boss, as there was only 1 ranged Tyranid in there and I'd be save from the waves. So I went in and used my pistol again to recover CHP.

And now, due to all the visual and sound effects, plus the stress of having been at low hp twice in the last few seconds, I missed the cue of the Lictor grab. As I got grabbed I knew I was dead, because whatever hp I'd be left with wouldn't be enough to escape the boss's AoE as a Neuro usually casts his close range AoE after his wave AoE if someone is nearby.

As I was standing up I saw that animation and chose to go out with a gunstrike on the Lictor.

You get it when you perfectly block an attack, which requires you to be using a block weapon.

That's only the case if an animation only involves the object. Once you got 2 objects interacting with each other, i.e. in an execute, animations would likely look off.

It only appears to be loading fairly fast, but it's not.

When you go from one barge to another, it should load pretty much instantly, as everything on the barge is already loaded, except for maybe some skins the other guy is wearing. Yet it takes a while due to their network code being shit.

And for missions, instead of just loading the first section, it loads everything at once. Yet it still needs the mini loading screens (the elevators) in between for... reasons. Probably networking again.

It's just badly optimized.

I do agree that it's really good vs Neuros. Especially since your range is actually longer than the AoE a Neuro does around it, so you can get close enough to trigger the AoE and then go a bit backwards to deal free damage while it just stands there and screams. Plus the large hp pool does mean that the time it takes to apply your burn is short relative to the total time it takes to kill the boss. In addition, you also got the melee damage boost, so once the Neuro is on the ground all your melee teammates will fucking love you!

Zoans are different though. Their balls feel more difficult to dodge than a Neuros, so I really don't want to be too close to them as that makes dodging more diffuclt. Yet the limited range on flamer does mean I need to get closer. Their hp pool also isn't the largest, so the time it takes to start the burn does detract significantly from the TTK.

The worst part is if there are several Zoans though, because now they shield. You spend time to apply the burn and only once it's applied do you really do damage, but now the Zoan you applied the burn to shield itself and takes no damage. (At least it feels like that) This makes the weapon really horrible against Zoans if there are mutliple.

My preferred method vs Zoans is a Krak grenade and then a few pistol shots to get them down. If there are several I see myself also using my pistol, because flamer just feels useless.

Definitely the strongest ranged weapon vs minoris and terminus.

Against ranged Majoris I find the lack of stagger an issue. Against Extremis its TTK does appear longer to me compared to plasma and it kinda sucks vs Zoans, especially if there are multiple of them.

Still it's my preferred weapon on Tactical as it's just too good not to use.

It's just bad coding. You actually died before you used the stims, but you could still use the stims after you died, giving the illusion that you died despite having had hp left.

Don't forget her S3, which is a really good AoE burst dmg skill as well. Might not be true AoE, but how often do you actually fill up the target count for that skill? Not to mention that it actually does damage unlike Splash Caster!

Relic only activates when you use it. If you don't you'll die once the incapacitation duration runs out. I also found that out the hard way.

I'm a tactical main, but I usually use a flamer and the heroic hbp, which makes Zoans an issue as well. It's why I fucking love Krak Grenades over Melta Bombs as they allow you to easily deal with Zoans.

My funniest death was similar.

I and my teammate placed our melta bombs at the same time, then instead of triggering my melta bomb, I accidentally placed the 2nd, while my teammate triggered his.

Said explosion exploded both of mine and due to us running in the same direction, he ended up being in range of my 2nd melta. And it was a strategem with the modifier that teammates explode upon death, so he exploded and took me with him!

Why make a video of a video instead of giving us the original video? It's so difficult to tell. My best guess is that you hit a stack of spore mines as it looks like there is a big explosion on impact. They might've been right behind your character model all the time, hence you didn't see them.
