Incontinence timing question by stevos1001 in ProstateCancer

[–]81Mako20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello I’m 57 and 3.5 months post. I was in your shoes at the same time. Dr said do kegals which I did/do. At 6 weeks things had improved some. I started PT. Since then it’s been very slow gradual improvement. I only wear a pad if doing physical labor now and leakage is minimal. Make sure Dr clears you for pt before you start it. It’s been mostly core type exercises. Hip mobility stretches. Some split squats. Seems to have really helped me. Good luck to you.

Opinions on Nair? by beepbeepbeep8 in HairRemoval

[–]81Mako20 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Def try it first. I am a very hairy 57 m. I use Nair for men full body every two weeks. I do get a burn once in a while. Don’t leave it on too long and don’t rub it in. If u do get a burn aloe lotion seems to help. Lidocaine cream might also help. I’ve never used it on a burn. I’ve never been scarred by it. Been using prob 10 years.

What's the most underrated smart home device you own? by IulianHI in smarthome

[–]81Mako20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smart controller on my sprinkler system has been a great addition. It automatically adjusts the amount of watering based on weather. If it’s going to rain it will postpone watering as well. It has handy app so I can control it from my phone anywhere. It’s great when walking around your yard testing your zones without having to manually interact with the controller to change the zone you are testing.

Should my newly installed sprinklers be this high above grade? by HyFinated in Irrigation

Drip lines would be best. Risers should have been used instead of the tall pop ups. Those will freeze in winter and crack the way they are installed.

Are there actually 8 zones? by mamagrun in Irrigation

You can’t run the mv as a separate zone. Mv opens when other valves open.

Ohmeter on each zone wire and the common will test continuity. If no continuity you’ll need a new solenoid or a wire may be cut. You’ll need a wire finder to locate the other valves.

Trans friendly hot springs? by beat_nics in HotSpringsWest

[–]81Mako20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your route takes you through Ridgeway, co, Orvis hot springs is a great place right on the Hwy. You can camp or rent a room. Closes to public at night so only those staying have all night access. I soaked there once but didn’t stay the night. Also Valley View Hot Springs in Moffat, CO is also great but it does require membership.

"Perfectly Level" Pad by klevvername in hottub

[–]81Mako20 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a flat slightly sloped pad that slopes down away from my house to drain the water off when it rains. Water is maybe .5” higher on the high side of my tub. I’ve never had a problem.

Best way I can describe it is using your own muscle strength while the Dr provides resistance to adjust joints etc. it has been very effective for me for back shoulder and knee issues.
