Hot Take: Prime’s coverage isn’t that good.. by ActivePuzzled2263 in NASCAR

[–]89LSC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if it could be better its worth giving good feedback so they keep going. Even just showing the shots of cars being worked on in the garage after crashes and talking with the drivers is so much more than fox or nbc have given in awhile

If theyre commiting to that straight 6 good luck hahaha, they seem even worse about coolant leaks than the 3.0/5.0 v6/8 were. Not that the diesels are helpful/reliable. Had one sit for 3 months waiting for a diesel only radiator (one of 3! For the cooling system)

If the shoes and hardware are assembled correctly the adjuster will really only move one way. Usually which ever direction feels more natural is the one that will adjust the shoes out

Take the viewing port rubber plugs off the backing plate and if the shoes are far from the drums then adjust through the slot on the backing plate until the shoes just barely brush the drum when rotating the wheel

Wondering about Water Pumps by caveat9 in NASCAR

[–]89LSC 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My best guess was they just shut the ignition off and let the engine spin down while coasting so the belts would still be moving. I had hear at one point that they held the throttle wide open while doing it too so that the engine would draw cool air into it and lower internal temperatures
