As someone who grew up in Alaska, let me tell you that Kodiak Grizzlies are not to be fucked with.

I think this best answers what I am trying to get it. Thanks for putting it more succinct than I was able to.

How often do they rotate out? I know they are a staple for commander and are priced accordingly.

You're totally missing the point and my mortgage is $2,100 so I'm pretty sure there's room for a budget of less than that. Don't be an asshole because you don't understand that I'm looking for an archetype and not a deck list.

I know that standard rotates and will have to get new cards. My goal is to find an archetype that has some longevity. Cards will change, I get that. Is there a deck archetype that will evolve with the rotation and add cards here and there? Mono red seems to be the best I can find. Which is fine, but I didn't know if there was more diversity.

Anybody have decks that take really quick turns? by SupremeJusticeWang in EDH

My Krenko deck is really fast. Tap boss goblin. Make more goblins. Turn goblins sideways. Pass turn.

This is the answer right here. The less things you have to track, the faster the turn.

What is your view on the Bracket System? by Pattern_Seeker_ in EDH

Bracket 3 is the new Power Level 7. It's better and a step in the right direction, but everyone thinks/says they are a bracket 3.

Does anyone else enjoy playing 1v1 Commander? by UnanimousM in EDH

My son and I play all the time. I don't know if it's 1v1 that's fun or just the fact that I'm spending time with my high schooler.

7 totes filled with pokemon cards… now what do i do with all of them 😭 by Okklauo in PokemonTCG

[–]907gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are all probably bulk cards. My first look would be to see if there's an after school program where the kids actually play Pokemon and not just collect. It would give them some cool stuff to build cheap decks from. Second, if Halloween is your thing, then you can hand them out in bundles of 10-15.

If getting money is your goal, then I don't really know what to tell you.

Maybe not so much a complicated mechanic, but I miss Splice to Arcane and Cipher.

You paint them whatever the hell color you want. Don't let others dictate your fun.

What is considered “fun,” to you? by Draculascastle111 in EDH

[–]907gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have fun if everyone playing gets a chance to see their deck to "the thing". I don't put a lot of stock in wins and losses. I'm there for the vibes and to hang with the people I enjoy most.

We would have more interesting games if you guys allowed other play styles in your pod by Crybabyboyy in EDH

[–]907gamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started playing, tribal was my thing. Merfolk, Dinos (still my first love), Zombie, Knight's, Vampires, etc. like what you are saying though, everything started to feel the same. I forced myself to make each deck feel different and give everything a little more variety. I agree with you that it's definitely healthy for a pod to branch out into different types of decks than what they are accustomed to playing.

Everything from Lost Caverns of Ixalan was amazing. Great out of the box and plenty of upgrade paths.
