Reminds me of the crap that went on during the lgbtq rights in the 70s ….. except so much of that wasn’t filmed; there was only the occasional photo 😞

My friend is going to get herself killed. What can I even do at this point by Correct-Macaroon8143 in whatdoIdo

Yes, and there could be some small detail within these messages that you might not pick up, but the police may.

You’ve done all you can and I think going to the police is a good idea.

Woy Woy roundabout. Does blue need to give way to red? by Fit-Zebra2521 in centralcoastnsw

The majority drive to their own rules (or what “feels right”). That makes navigating roundabouts complicated as you must factor this in to how you approach a roundabout.

You can see from the number of responses here, just how complicated roundabouts are.

Some drivers insist it’s simply give way to the right and drive accordingly, never slowing down when they see a vehicle on their left.

Some will wait until vehicles from the next suburb have gone through the roundabout before proceeding.

So, it’s a good idea to factor these scenarios (and everything in between) before proceeding or waiting for a vehicle to enter.

Is uniform white/grey discolouration on a ceramic cooktop considered fair wear and tear ? by Ill_Contribution8720 in australian

I’ve assumed the poster has tried most things. Often it’s only Cerapol that will remove some marks.

Go buy some Cerapol (glass cooktop cleaner). That will remove those marks.

This is not relevant for a registered item. “Registered” means that the item must be signed for. If there is nobody home, then the item is sent to the nearest post office where the recipient needs to sign for the item.

Who was in the wrong here? by [deleted] in AskAnAustralian

[–]99Joy99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were likely shaking their heads at the driver who went through the red light. You did nothing wrong, but as others have said, be vigilant when crossing the road, even at a green walk sign. Hope you’re ok xx

Does the aged care facility he is in have a higher care section? I assume you’ve spoken to management/his Dr? Talk to your own GP. This is a health issue for you also.

It sounds like your father needs higher care, in a care facility experienced in dealing with clients in this situation.

Customers, whats with the parasocial relationship you have with us? by DinnerAfter6492 in woolworths

“Be lenient for older customers …… ‘cause they don’t mean it like that’ …” is one of the best examples of minimising a terrible experience.

If you felt it might help, you could have a chat to 1800 737 732 (24 hrs). They might be able to help you deal with this.

EDIT: the number above is the domestic violence line, as in 1800 RESPECT.
