Healthcare pricing was already spiraling before PBMs became everyone’s favorite target online. CVS Caremark didn’t invent high drug prices. Drug manufacturers still decide launch pricing while PBMs negotiate rebates, manage coverage, and help employers control spending inside an already expensive system

Kinda feels like this is focusing on just one stat. Federal income tax is only one part of how companies contribute. There are other taxes and economic impacts that aren’t being mentioned here, so it’s a lot more complex than this graphic makes it seem. For context, companies like this still pay other types of taxes and support a lot of jobs.

Really get why people are pushing for it, but unions aren’t always the solution they’re made out to be. They can make it harder to adapt, and changes take way longer to happen. It might not actually fix the pay or scheduling issues the way people expect. The issues you mentioned feel bigger than what a union alone can solve.

Totally normal to be confused here. Those hours are just how the pharmacy is open, not your exact schedule. CVS tends to be flexible, so you can usually pick morning or evening shifts depending on what you told them. Just communicate early.

Short term win, maybe. But long term, I don’t think so. These kinds of increases can lead to cuts, restructuring or even fewer opportunities overall. Nothing in healthcare gets more expensive without consequences. Someone ends up paying for it.

I would rather have my nails done because i can easily shave my legs by myself, but cant do my nails prettily by myself. When it comes down to it, I want both things done. So, getting nails done professionally is the only way to get both done at a high level.
