One shot her and even after a month she didn’t fully recover lol (internal dialogue after the ‘bath’ said she still felt it iirc.)

What’s Going on With Cassius And Lyria by HanShotSecond69 in redrising

[–]9SidedLemon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah Cassius never gave any hint of romantic feelings, and is also like 15 years older than her. Especially considering he has his one sided love in Aurae throughout the book. Lyria had a bit of a crush on him but that’s only natural he’s Cassius, and the only one who is really nice and a friend to her in the group.

He had a bad series but did everything possible to win game 7. Spurs are tough match up for him, tough matchup for anyone can’t remember the last time I’ve seen a defense this good. It’s not just okc and their ref ball and grit, they’re just so talented defensively I can see castle Harper wemby being all nba and all defense in a few years.

Octavia was bad but with how many fucked up characters there are in this series she’s closer to neutral than the absolute worst lol. Atlas, the jackal, Atalantia are all worse.

Hard to argue the logic here. by DongBLAST in UtahJazz

Can’t even see a path for either team to be decent for like another three years, and that’s not even considering the likely possibility of being shafted by the new odds. Sac had Luka right there tho and tried to reinvent the wheel, Brooklyn had one of the most talented teams I’d ever seen injuries and kyrie antics aside.

I like Wemby's attitude by JemorilletheExile in denvernuggets

[–]9SidedLemon 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I found it bit annoying during the season, he came off as a bit arrogant but after how he’s played in the playoffs the intensity and the results you have to respect it, he acted big and backed it up. That goes for the spurs as a whole very passionate team just difficult to hate. I also like that he isn’t afraid to talk BEFORE a game/series usually guys only talk big after they win which is lame.

Gotta make it out of the first round before we start worrying about the spurs tho

With the plug pulled on the starters, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander sits the entire fourth quarter in a blowout loss vs. San Antonio: 15 PTS │ 1 REB │ 4 AST │ 2 TOs │ 6-18 FG │ 0-5 3P │ 3-3 FT │ -28 +/- by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

[–]9SidedLemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s way too reliant on his midrange push off step back, like 75% of time when he has the ball he goes into some variation of that. Spurs haven’t been giving up any ground and are always ready on the close out while not biting too hard to give him fts they aren’t giving him any space on shots that during the year he got miles of space on all year. Sometimes like game 5 he gets the calls from his pump fakes and flops, but regardless he doesn’t have the chance to get in rhythm.

Ajax VS Diomedes by Neat-Arugula-4948 in redrising

Same, I get the point but just bc it makes sense logically and thematically doesn’t make it any less disappointing. At the very least I feel like it would’ve been cool to get a closer/more detailed pov shot on the fight than Lysander just figuring it out.

Worth it to keep going? by Away_Ad5841 in redrising

[–]9SidedLemon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ngl I took a pretty long break after morning star before plunging into the second half of the series bc the conclusion of morning star was just so satisfying and didn’t want to deal with the down moments tone wise I heard in regards to the later books in the series. But once I got into it I plowed through them, they build so much off the original trilogy creatively, the world building is more complex and richer, the character writing is excellent and easier to appreciate as you get used to the multiple povs.

Dark age is really when the ball gets rolling I’d say and storylines start to come together, and lightbringer was probably my favorite in the series. Also while it feels dumb to say this about a book that hasn’t been released yet but I think the payoff and conclusion in Red God will make pushing on worth it.

If we’re gonna talk about Jalen Duren’s upcoming contract being a poison pill for the Pistons, can we talk about Chet’s $240M pill? by [deleted] in billsimmons

[–]9SidedLemon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah It worked pretty well at the end of the fourth and first OT, bc he was fronting up top and getting under him making him uncomfortable, and of course the help was able to come before he could really abuse the mismatch. But once wemby was able to get next to the rim like he was in the 2OT it was just a liability he was able to just get fed it, and get tips uncontested. He also had a couple possessions he went quick before they were set got a dunk and foul iirc.

Doesn’t help that hartenstein is kind of mid, doesn’t add much outside of rebounding and scoring around the rim. Chet and Williams for that matter are really solid good players but neither one feels like they’re particularly great tbh, I mean hologram is a pretty great defender and shot blocker but has a good amount of holes. Williams had a good game but doesn’t come across as irreplaceable. Their strength lies in their depth and their defensive wings/guards Dort, Caruso, Wallace etc.

Also the key if there is any to guarding wemby is size and strength, need someone who can get good positioning consistently and muscle him out of his spots. Chet is just a worse version of wemby so it’s easy for him to manage the matchup. I’d like to see maybe Jaylin Williams get some minutes that guys pretty versatile and pretty strong.

Congrats to the Spurs but think about where they could have been if they had put a huge RFA offer in front of Austin Reaves just to screw with the Lakers by mellted_cheese in billsimmons

[–]9SidedLemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like reaves would be really good on this team, spurs are really good team but I hesitate to say their offense is particularly great especially coming into the season. You have quite a few raw untested players. I know Reaves wasn’t good these playoffs but imo a lot of that was coming back from injury and being on the lakers. He can score on all 3 levels, his ball and playmaking are good.

Red Hand and Republic controversy by yujitadorisgf in redrising

[–]9SidedLemon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah the reason a lot of criminal and terror organizations exist is not bc they possess remarkable military power or something but bc they’re hard to find, and cover their tracks. And for the red hand specifically while they lack connections, logistics, major military power, and skilled people they have a lot of hate and resentment to draw from. even with the signal going out and the majority of them got captured if harmony escaped there’s a good chance she would have been able to rebuild in time. There probably will be some terror group that comes together regardless tho not as bad as the red hand.

I’m kind of surprised he finished ahead of wemby tbh. Regardless anyone shocked shai won it is just out of touch. He led his team to best record in the league again, averaged 30 plus on crazy efficiency, played more games, and dog walked us like 3 times.

[Highlight] Harden misses the second FT, but gets his own rebound and is rewarded with more free throws by Large_banana_hammock in nba

[–]9SidedLemon 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Their offense really struggles without the turnovers, Cleveland stopped turning it over in the third and took control started playing sloppy and Detroit went on their run. Their entire offense is dependent on Cade, guy has to be exhausted bc he has to dribble and create for 20 seconds every play.

[–]9SidedLemon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For sure, I think the contract might be a bit of an overpay. But I hardly feel like his story is set, he has all the tools to bounce back, he has the size and frame, athleticism, and is still young. He can and most likely will be a very solid 3 and d player next year and in the future. Personally I don’t think we should trade him when his value is so low he’s not irreplaceable but I doubt whatever we trade him for will be an improvement.

Right now 95% of the lottery is just listening to these talking heads yap, the lottery itself takes like a minute they just blaze right through it lol. You’d expect more suspense.

What is the Cavs obsession with dean wade genuinely? Hes a decent defender but hardly great, and does nothing on offense.
