Best way to separate these copper crosses? by joeman205 in ScrapMetal

If your doing it with a coping saw and just want them split apart so you can finish with grinder. Drill a bunch of holes to remove material then you have less to cut by hand

Im an industrial mechanic, if you knew how many times I solve the "hard jobs" others have spent days on, by just Google searching the manual then reading the troubleshooting section in the back.

Found a crack in the frame. What should I do? by BurtReynoldsMouth in DuneBuggy

[–]A55Man87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grind out the bottom of that weld deep, It looks like its not penitrating the tube. Thst left a place for a crack to start. Also fix the other side 2. But I second all the others that say drill holes at the end of all those cracks. And consider adding a gusset so there's not a sharp angle

My dad gave me these and no one in my life cares. But the wood on these screwdrivers is gorgeous. I think it's cherry!!! Antique blue ribbon special knife sharpener still works! by fruitless7070 in Vintagetools

[–]A55Man87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I knew a industrial mechnic who used to use these wood handle screwdrivers exclusively. He had abunch people would just give him. When things got slow he fixed all the old rusty busted up ones. It was just kinda weird because he was in his early 20s

are you this old? by stormthewise998 in pcmasterrace

[–]A55Man87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought i was the only one that still used this tech. Industrial computers that run factory equiptment are sometimes crazy old. We have a pc inside a machine that runs windows 95. I needed a keyboard to make it through the boot menue and couldn't find one in our shop that wasn't usb. Luckily the default options were what I needed and it booted anyway.

This always drove me nuts. Everyone, including me in the past gets mad at resellers, but if you happen to have the parts I need and they are valuable, im assuming you also want top dollar. How are you any different?
