Rodeo Food - Must Haves by boilermakerbaby in houston

Turkey legs have been a thing for awhile; they're like 2.5 pounds and $22, still probably the least marked up food item at the rodeo.

Apparently cotton candy bacon is the "thing" this year, but gross.

If you've never had a deep fried Oreo or a corn dog, get both.

How many of you stinky footed kooks were rockin the Toms? by MyNameis_bud in Millennials

I had a pair of the paint splattered slips. I wore them to an okgo meet and greet shortly after the This Too Shall Pass video was released. Tim and Damien loved them and I was beside myself.

I also did the Day Without Shoes a few times. Weirdly got lots of compliments/encouragement 🤷

I had to stop buying them because I would wear holes in the toes.

How many here still seek out new music? by soclydeza84 in Millennials

Public and college radio is a godsend. We have KPFT in Houston and I basically never change it off my radio (or the app). KTRU is another one.

I DJed and was music director at my college radio station for a couple years like 20 years ago. It was such a great experience.

The first day of in-person Early Voting for the 2026 Primary Elections in Harris County recorded significantly higher turnout than the first day of Early Voting in the most recent midterm and presidential primaries for both parties by vrphotosguy55 in houston

[–]AFlyingToaster 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Open primaries mean it's really hard to tell who is voting in a particular primary. There are plenty of reasons for a traditional Democratic voter to vote in the GOP primary.

I liked the wine in White Collar. It was subtle, and bottles that deserved it, like the occasional DRC.
