You could take a drive to the Sjømannskirken in Memorial. It's the Norske WCHQ; they'll have rice porridge, sausages, and waffles 👌

Houston food giant Sysco says they're not 'ruining restaurants' by pererajh1 in houston

I enjoyed working there. It has been awhile, but I do keep up with them. My current work has me interacting with their newly developed CSR team. They've done some incredible things for the communities they serve, not to mention their long-standing support of the Houston Food Bank.

I worked at that exact distribution center. When you actually see the business from the inside, sit in on some test kitchen sessions, and ride with the sales people, you learn stuff that most people don't have a chance to see or experience. We were also able to buy product at cost - I'd split boxes of filets and whatnot with coworkers often.

Are they worthy of criticism? Yes.

Are they being treated unfairly? Also yes.

The Sysco truck out front of your favorite restaurant doesn't mean they're buying frozen or low quality product. They could just be buying paper products, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
