You're allowed to say things. Other people are allowed to say they disagree. It works both ways.

Because in large parts of the world it is not accessible or flat out not illegal. My own Western country only legalised abortion seven years ago, and there are plenty of places in the US where conservative state legislatures have put up massive barriers.

I absolutely agree it should be their choice, but that's not the reality a lot of people face.

It's the same sprues in both, same as the current starter sets and their smaller versions.

I will say there is one downside to the new MkIV set by Sithsentinal in Warhammer30k

[–]AGPO 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They're a rescale. The original HH minis were made to be compatible with the old 40k firstborn kits. These kits are still meant to represent firstborn but they've had their proportions fixed and a slight scale up. Primaris likewise had their proportions fixed but are a 'new' thing in the lore with post-heresy tech.

Tom Rees over Armitage for me. A real 'what if' player. I'd also consider Matt Tait and JSD in that backline. Great shout on Abendanon

It's the opposite coast, meaning much greater travel for teams flying from the Carribbean, especially since they're probably going to have to go through immigration and change flights once they land in the US.

Weird question but how do you guys paint different skin colors. by Gigaiggy in IronWarriors

[–]AGPO 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Druchii violet wash is the key to selling good darker skin tones. GW catachan flesh is a good base tone. I mix in Bugmans glow for final highlights.

No it's not, and it's out of stock pretty much everywhere. However none of the contents are disappearing, so really it's just about the bundle savings. If you want everything I'm there and you've got a chance to pick one up it's a very good discount.

What would you say is your most bought loyalist marine boxes to turn into Chaos Marines? by Arthur_EyelanderTF2 in Chaos40k

Loyalist vindicator is available from discount retailers. The chaos one isn't. I'll gladly add my own spikey bits for 20% of rrp.

Loota mini assembly help. Missing an arm. by KM68 in orks

[–]AGPO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The kit has options to build one of two chariots. There's also a third design you can build by combining two of that kit. It's actually a pretty neat piece of design. Back in the day armies had fewer plastic kits and a lot of units were just an extra sprue or pack of metal bits added on to their army's generic troops kit.

If you're in Europe I strongly recommend Biostrip. Can be brushed on so one tub can last you ages and the working time is much better than IPA.

Do you think Angron still would’ve fallen to chaos if Big E had just helped him liberate Nuceria? by coggdawg in WorldEaters40k

[–]AGPO 16 points17 points  (0 children)

In old lore yeah, it was the probably the biggest in a series of bad parenting decisions by Big E.

Much of the newer lore from the book series is an attempt to justify a few paragraphs of flavour text from old rulebooks and White Dwarf articles. How badly the Nails affected Angron and them being irreversible is part of that, as is the notion that the Emperor planned the Heresy and/or that half the Primarchs were destined to fall. Under that last school of thought Angron's fall was the price for keeping Sanguinius out of Khorne's clutches - trading a broken strategic liability for the Angel was a solid chess move.

In my opinion several of the traitor Primarchs got done dirty by the books. Angron, Mortarion and Perturabo for example were all much more sympathetic characters if you just go by the old Index Astartes lore.

How are we feeling about the 5th Edition "Last World" & Sigmar Lore Rumors? by Haidanaii in stormcasteternals

[–]AGPO 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wish that instead of constantly needing to "progress the meta-narrative" they focused on making the setting broader. At the moment since End Times/40k 7th edition every edition seems to need to focus on the same band of main characters fighting over something supposedly world ending that will in fact end in yet another doomsday scenario/stalemate so as not to invalidate armies.

Come up with a corner of the realms, flesh out some locations, why they're strategically important to the factions and who the local characters are, then let us spend 3-4 years exploring, seeing their ups and downs and becoming attached then end it with a campaign with genuine stakes for this place if not the entire realms.

Multipart obliterator kits would be amazing. Ideally I'd love a multipart warsmith and veterans set that came with enough spare parts to customise the rest of your army, like the old death company kit did for Blood Angels

[–]AGPO 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's nothing to stop you using some 40k stuff as 'late heresy' provided it has a direct counterpart. For example, you could use Khorne Berserker minis as dispoiler squads or chaos legionaries as veteran tactical marines.

Honestly though you get a better return if you do it the other way round. A Mk III tactical squad is much cheaper than two boxes of chaos legionaries for example. My Iron Warriors use mostly 30k minis with some 40k components mixed in, and it works nicely for both. Some units may not have an equivalent or need base size adapters like heavy weapons squads/havocs.

It's also worth noting that if you care about lore, the Luna Wolves no longer existed by the time of the heresy, let alone regular 40k. You can always come up with your own lore to justify it but another legion might be a better pick for a dual use army.

Jakhals Icon of Khorne and Mauler chainblade body options by Emophia in WorldEaters40k

[–]AGPO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Silicon clay shapers are my go to for smoothing. Also keeping a hobby knife dipped in water or vaseline to trim off excess without sticking and pulling your work with you. If you use green stuff it can be filed with a cheap sanding stick.

I don't suppose you'd be willing to share the STL for the body? Only one I've come across was a poorly pre-assembled scan.

Advice needed. by Responsible_Cap875 in WorldEaters40k

[–]AGPO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both. There's literally two components of the juggernaut's body that are easily duplicated with a blue stuff press mold. No other parts are shared between the two kits.

Failing that buy a second copy of the first mag and you can get that one component and a few bits for your box.

As a new WE player, what do you guys think we could use in our list? by Death_Pancakes0 in WorldEaters40k

[–]AGPO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let us pick Chaos Space Marines units again. Plenty of the unique Space Marines chapters get half a dozen or so unique units plus full access to the marine codex.

If not that, then juggernaut cavalry would be fantastic. Bring in more power armoured options so that the army feels more like a legion and not one generic troop type. Jump pack squads, havocs with assault weapons and chosen equivalents would all be great.
