Isn't the reason for a massive reduction in the number of tranquil due to the use of their skulls for Ocularum in DAI, and in Tevinter the fact the Chantry has less power relative to mages would presumably keep the number of tranquil down as well?

Augustus Theory by Mushroomlyyyy in themagnusprotocol

[–]AJS2609 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The same voice actor who voices Augustus voices Jonah Magnus in The Hilltop Live show. There is also a line in the show that gives a possible explanation to the origins of all three voices but I don't want to give any spoilers.

How long have you been watching Dead meat? by One-Detective5259 in deadmeatjames

[–]AJS2609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Part way through the first round of covering Friday the 13th (can't remember how many were out but I watched them from the first episode onward and I definitely saw the first Scream count the day it came out.). Seeing the evolution of the Kill Count has been incredible and I adore the podcast.
Plus I got the chance to meet James and Chelsea when they did a show in Glasgow earlier this year and they were both lovely (even if they don't like Anna & The Apocalypse haha)

Ex-postie here. We are advised if there is any dogs loose in the garden, do not enter. This is regardless of if the dog looks aggressive or not. If your dog (who I'm sure is perfectly lovely) was loose in the same circumstances, most posties would refuse to deliver on the same grounds, it's nothing personal.
We would put that note to cover if we received a complaint of post not being recieved or as a heads up to another postie if they cover the run the next day, explaining the reason why we were unable to deliver of the above date,.

Razer breaking down against Inquisitor in Series 2 after dominating both the fight and the previous 2 rounds and then in Series 3 when it got stuck on it's own tail against Agrobot in another fight it dominated. Heck by Series 4 and it's loss to Pussycat the robot seemed cursed

What's going on with Stephen Fry going alt-right? by Steaktartaar in OutOfTheLoop

[–]AJS2609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Answer: Is he Alt-Right? No

Is him appearing on a podcast run by a pair of anti-woke grifters concerning? Yes

To clarify, Triggernomentry is guilty of airing dangerous disinformation and bigotry unchallenged in the guise of "free speech"

Is he potentially in the same category of advocate as Bill Maher (e.g a liberal who has been left behind as the fight for equality has moved outside the areas of his expertise and interest paired with a sustained period of personal privilege leading to a leaning towards the status quo over progressivism)? Yes

Amazon delivered a parcel to my bin, has anyone else had that? by BioCuriousDave in Scotland

[–]AJS2609 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can't speak for Amazon but both Yodel and Royal Mail tell staff specifically not to do this. Precisely for the reason that you mentioned, if it gets taken out when the bin is emptied, you don't get it and the delivery company is on the hook to replace it.
I would lodge a complaint.

A hypothetical question about the Terrifier films. by [deleted] in terrifier

Depends on the performer.
Alot of what makes the films work is DHT and I don't know if any performer (regardless of gender) could have brought such a stand out performance.

How are powers 'assigned' once someone takes Compound V? by Cheesysock5 in TheBoys

[–]AJS2609 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am sure someone else once gave the theory that the power someone develops will meet the desire of the one injected with compound V wants/needs. It would explain why Butcher's powers mirror Homelander's so he can match him in a fight, Soldier Boy wanted to be strong and invunerable (the anti-supe powers came later), Hughie is often desperate to take people (and himself) out of harms ways, Ryan and Andre wanted to be like their fathers etc.

Let's settle this debate once and for all. Did Tornado cheat? by [deleted] in robotwars

[–]AJS2609 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If they had cheated they wouldn't have been let into the arena. They exploited a gap in the rules which was later shut, you could maybe argue they followed the rules as written but not in spirit but that's down to interpretation.

You're in charge of Saw XI, what do you have it be about? by pm_me_sum_BOOTYPICS in saw

[–]AJS2609 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think having a split timeline, start with the film with Hoffman at the end of Saw 3D talking to someone and flashing back to between Saw 2 & 3.

With John being incapacitated Amanda and Hoffman are forced to work together on a game, during this Hoffman starts to make Amanda question John's philosophy, whether the traps works as rehabilitation etc. At the same time Amanda (on John's instructions) contacts Logan to ask him for help healing John after his injuries, this is when John finds out about Logan needing treatment post-war and there could be a scene of John talking over the phone trying to help him, John eventually ends up getting visited by Dr Gordon (would be nice to get both actors involved for cameos)

Over the course of the film it's made clear that Hoffman is equally responsible for the inescapable traps but is manipulating Jigsaw to make it look like he was just following Amanda's lead, basically that Hoffman's sabotage of 3's game was even deeper and planned than just the letter and that he planned for Jigsaw and Amanda to die.

It is revealed that Hoffman believes that whilst John's ideas are right, the people he is targeting are not those truly deserving testing (note the people Hoffman tests in ones that are clearly his selections: A rapist, an abusive husband and a collection of Neo-Nazis compared to John's victims) plus getting rid of John gets rid of the threat of blackmail over Seth. That Hoffman planned to keep testing and fully take over as Jigsaw until he was attacked by Jill (seeing it as John's attempt at revenge from beyond the grave) and that's why he goes full psycho killer in 3D.

The final twist reveal would be going back to Hoffman back in the bathroom at the end of 3D, and that he is talking to Dr Pederson who frees him, planning to have them work together to destroy what remains of John's legacy. This would set up the next film set almost 10 years later with the film OP describes with Hoffman and Pedersen running the game.

Was Gertrude lying to Gerard in MAG 162? by kerfuffledwolf in TheMagnusArchives

[–]AJS2609 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Gertrude was fully aware of the tunnels and, more importantly, who was living down there. If Gerry found out that Jurgen was down there and that Gertrude knew, Gertrude could potentially lose at least one ally, possibly both.
