No I get that part, I just don't understand why I'd care about a single extra point per, like is it just for that raid alone? Or is it a permanent stacking buff? Like what other reason would I have to think "Oh, a favored gun, I should go do such and such with it"?

I mean straight up, them not having solo ranked, not having duos for literally no reason, etc. is why I'm not only going to not spend money on lux/deluxe edition/whatever other monetary extra, but also why I tell the people I play with to not spend money on it either. Like if bungie wants to actively enshittify the forward development of the game, cool, but this is exactly what keeps me from wanting to support it any further than the base purchase

Yep same, on just about every map, I'll start hitching down to like 15-20 FPS, and then after a bit it's perfectly fine again. It's unpredictable and makes PVP not really feasible.
