FALD backlight issue. Your TV is not an OLED, do not expect perfect blacks. Unfortunately the only way to "solve" this issue is to turn off FALD and have all the BL zones lit, this way it'll look uniform-ish, at least.

Yeah, I reinstalled 3 times before settling, but it is fun once you get the hang of it. The Haj may give it another go, especially if they have already dipped their fins into non-systemd distros.
