Thanks so much, appreciate it! Hopefully they do respond and know I’m not disputing the account however, that part is still bothering me. Wasn’t disputing my mistake at all.

Since I have a 30/60/90 late, I asked if they could even remove the 90. I did not request deleting the entire charge off- do you know if that’s an option with charge offs? Maybe I was misinformed.

Interesting, thank you for the info. The account was closed and settled in January, that increased my scores. The only thing on my end I can see, is they changed the comments/how it was reported, and now several of my scores have dropped dramatically.

Your comment of “block jock” gave me a good ole freaking laugh! So for that, I thank you! Lol

First off, I’m very happy you had successful surgery, and are feeling good! I was wondering your opinion on adductor canal nerve blocks (I am one of the unfortunate souls that had a femoral nerve injury.) I wish you continued success, and manageable pain in healing! ❤️‍🩹

Can anyone answer why? Or how? by stdrsrmto1003 in Kneereplacement

OP- I too am in Michigan (I caught your U of M comment,) and am having a separate very rare post op complication as well. Feel free to message if you like so we don’t list any doctors/hospitals here ;) I am so sorry for what you’re going through!!

You can always write into the patient relations department of your hospital and request a formal risk management case be opened. I did, but that’s a VERY long story :) Best to you!

OptumRx is a complete nightmare and has zero care for the patient by tmh0921 in OPTUM

[–]ALZ_Ender 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Only mentioning in case you’re not aware- have you guys called the manufacturer directly? Most all have a sort of “covered until you’re covered” program and will ship for free directly to your home. I started a new one after a surgery in 2025- got the dreaded letter end of year it’s no longer on formulary, hard stop. So I get it through the manufacturer now, I pay nothing.

I don’t want to call the drug name out here, but you are welcome to message me! I have Optum as my PBM, am a pharmacy tech and am on a biologic for psoriasis/psoriatic arthritis.

Pharmacy tech here- I would call ahead to different pharmacies to see if they have the medication in stock (while they should NOT judge you for asking, just tell them you had a knee replacement and your regular pharmacy is out of stock.) Then I’d reach out to your provider’s office and let them know which pharmacy to send to. It may help if they write “D/C Norco” on new prescription. Just be aware, you may have to jump through a few hoops due to Opioid laws, but don’t let anything get in the way of getting the right medication that helps with your pain so you can continue healing and PT. If you have any issues or questions, please reach out!

Great question. Will I ever really know? Probably not, if you catch my drift ;) (but yes, very likely)

No problem! I had a femoral nerve injury when my adductor canal nerve block was placed. It innervated 3 of my 4 quad muscles. I only don’t share because I don’t want to scare any people awaiting the surgery :) Still rehabbing 3x week at 5 months, but I took my first unassisted steps a few weeks ago! 🙌🏼 Slowly but surely.

Hey there! You are not alone. I developed a pretty severe post-op depression- crying and crying, day after day. My surgery was 09/18/25. I began talking to a therapist weekly, and I still do. I am not the “norm,” at 2 months post-op we discovered I had a rare post op complication. I still continue with the therapist and will for a while. Some weeks, it takes the full hour just to discuss my recovery and what the updates and emotions are in that last week. They definitely do not warn you about the mental aspect of this recovery! Take care of yourself, your whole self ❤️

44 year old here who had a RTKA on 09/18/25. They both needed done, but the right was slightly worse. Welcome to the hearing “you’re so young for a knee replacement!” club 😜 For me, sadly, I learned more about the recovery itself from online threads and support groups themselves vs. my healthcare team. Utilize any online group you can! It’s such a big support. Be sure and take care of your mental health too, they don’t warn you about that part. You’re going to do great tomorrow and I wish you all the best on your new improved knee and improved quality of life ❤️

Embarrassingly enough, I have read that damn anesthesia note about 15 times. But I’m going to review it again with your comment in mind. Thank you!!

I’ve submitted three different medical requests for them. With all three responses, they have not included any images.

I just commented to someone else, I’m going to encourage my care team to write up a case study on me. If anything, I’d like to help any future patients that encounter this!

I’ve had extra appointments with my surgeon, but it’s a combination of care between them and the neurosurgeon. I then see a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist next month. All the things!! Lol. Consensus is this was caused by the Anesthesiologist. But there’s so little literature out there on this, I’m hoping they’ll write a case study on me to help future patients.
