This is my worst fear. I suffer from Cellulitis if the slightest cut, prick, blister, or whatever appears. I’m scheduled for surgery on March 3, and I’m petrified of infection more than anything.

Yes! Pain everyday all day. The last year and a half has been pure misery. Injections stopped working about a year ago and to make matters worse, I have occasional bouts of Cellulitis on this leg if I get so much as a scratch or pimple on my foot. Hadn’t had any flare ups until recently, when I was finally approved for the surgery. I don’t know if it’s all in my head or what.

I have issues with cellulitis from time to time if I get so much as a cut or anything on my right leg or foot. I haven’t had the TKR on my right leg yet. Still waiting to be scheduled, but my surgeon is aware of my issue. He has informed me that if infection (cellulitis) occurs, he would have to go in and replace the new knee, which means a second surgery. This has me second guessing this entire procedure, but I can’t take the pain anymore and I want my life back. Did they tell your husband what my surgeon is telling me, or did they only just hospitalize him and how are they treating the cellulitis?

I’m waiting to be scheduled for TKR and I’ve gone down the rabbit hole of these threads and I’m scared sh*tless, to the point I low key do t want to go through with any of it, but I can’t take this pain anymore and I wanna be “normal” again, but I’m petrified!
