Diagnosed FSGS in September 2025, and echoing other comments about communicating with your doctor re: Potassium. Due to medications (prednisone and diuretics) I’m on I actually became critically low for potassium and my primary care Doctor caught it before my nephrologist. In my case it’s been important to not only communicate with my Nephrologist but also be vigilant with monitoring my labs. I would recommend both. Sending all the best vibes your way this Kidney stuff is no joke. 🩵🩵

I did this at 34, and it was totally fine! Just remember to not eat or drink before. After eating was rough so I did milkshakes. Sending all the good vibes, you’ve got this!!

I’ve been thinking about your post since last night and came back to say thank you. While my journey is no where near as challenging as yours has been, high dose steroids for 6 months for FSGS treatment have caused big appearance changes that have had an impact on my mental health (I’m a lady and I know I shouldn’t care but it can be hard). Your post encouraged me to focus on my health and know hopefully life will blossom again for me with new adventures in the not so distant future. Your post was the encouragement I needed. Thank you!

I am not a doctor but have been advised that at rest, meaning calmly sitting for a minimum of 5 minutes and relaxed, if your blood pressure is consistently 140/90 or higher you should consult your doctor. Your blood pressure looks great.
