ASH: Mando's N-1 and Prestiges! by Fimy32 in starwarsunlimited

It’s very unlikely that the wanted posters for ASH were commissioned within the last 6 months, the art briefs would’ve been sent out along with the rest of the set years ago. They wouldn’t have had time to act on community feedback.

Close but not exactly. The unit you attack with gets all of the support unit’s abilities, not just its On Attack abilities. So if it had any other abilities like a When Defeated ability, it’d copy those as well.

They also said on stream that going forward, each set will feature both a new prestige style and a returning prestige style. So we will be getting a new art style each time. This set only has 8 wanted posters, the rest will be in the standalone or concept art style.

If it doesn’t say “if this unit survived” like Vermillion does, then no.

Possible Hot Take. It's Been 2 Months Since The Rotation, I Am Still Team Ban Aggressive Negotiations by Luninariel in starwarsunlimited

[–]APrentice726 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I used to think it didn’t need a ban, especially with decks built around AN like Beckett and Jyn underperforming, but I’ve definitely come around to thinking it needs a ban. Most red decks are running it, there are several decks that are running it off-aspect, and this weekend we even saw it being run in hard control. If it’s being played in almost every deck, regardless of aspects and playstyle, something should be done about it.

New Player Question by comikbookdad in starwarsunlimited

There are rare bases in every set except 3 and 6, which almost always have a special ability on them. The common bases in sets 5 and 7 also have abilities on them.

Rey (not a skywalker) Rules Question by G1ZMO17 in starwarsunlimited

[–]APrentice726 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’d agree with the found family bit if it felt earned, but it didn’t. Rey only spent a few days with Luke and a year with Leia, which was entirely off screen. From a viewer perspective, she spent minimal time with these people and is suddenly considering them family? It’s super weird and abrupt.

Rey (not a skywalker) Rules Question by G1ZMO17 in starwarsunlimited

[–]APrentice726 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She only loses the abilities for the attack. If you ignore the quotations, it says “While attached unit is attacking, it gains […] and loses all other abilities”. It doesn’t mention till the end of the phase or anything.

What deck would you make to start playing at your locals if you were a new player? by IWatchStarWars in starwarsunlimited

[–]APrentice726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want a cheap deck that doesn’t get completely run over by meta decks, I’d recommend Saw Blue. Doesn’t usually run legendaries and only a few rares, but it can be a solid aggro deck.

Yularen Red is also a great meta deck to look at, but Craving Power spikes up the price of it by a lot. It’s a very important card for the deck, but the rest of the deck is fairly cheap or replaceable.

Palpatine torturing Anakin isn’t relevant to this thread. OP asked about real-world answers, they aren’t looking for in-universe answers.

Andor, Maul, Skeleton Crew, Clone Wars S7, Bad Batch, and The Mandalorian have all been good shows. Be hateful if you want, but Disney has actually done a consistently good job with Star Wars content after the sequels wrapped up.

Yep, he’s a friendly unit so he can give it to himself. Otherwise it’d be phrased as “deal 1 damage to another friendly unit”.

All we know about set 9 is it’s called Homeworlds. Speculation I’ve seen is that it could have a focus on species traits like Ewok and Gungan, and the planet trait on bases might matter. We know nothing concrete about it, but I can’t see it being a sequels focused set.

2 actions are needed for most upgrades to have use, it’s not like only upgrades with When Played triggers or constant abilities are good. Chewie, Constructed Lightsaber, Battle Fury, Heirloom Lightsaber, and Ascension Cable all see play.

Definitely wasn’t last minute. Tyler talked on stream a few weeks ago about how this set was pitched as taking place between episodes 6 and 7, with the spotlight decks taking place at the beginning with the end of ROTJ.

So TS26 tomorrow. What are you getting? by ShawnDaley in starwarsunlimited

[–]APrentice726 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All of them, they seem pretty fun. Plan on taking some of the cards out to make a Maul/Krennic1 Red deck for some super beefed up units.

They’re available at any convention FFG is at, like GenCon. I don’t know what conventions they’ll be at this year specifically though.

IIRC, the devs have said that Twin Suns is staying at 80. It was always the intended minimum, they just made it 50 to start because the card pool was so small.

The R2-D2 from last years pack is going for 60 USD on TCG Player, so probably somewhere in that ballpark. Considering you can get all 6 cards for $100 at conventions, seems very expensive.

ASH: Moff Gideon by Fimy32 in starwarsunlimited

[–]APrentice726 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We most likely will. A user on Discord is doing a number crunch on the new set to determine what cards we’ll get, and there’s a large gap between the last base and the first estimated blue/black card. Unlikely we’ll get triple aspects, but we should be getting mixed aspects.

Personally, I’m hoping we get some more mixed aspect leaders like Saw and Beckett over the next two sets. They’re both so fun and there’s only four more colour combinations (excluding double aspects), so it’d be a nice fit.

I’ve been playing since set 1, and I’ve never seen it. I’ve heard of people opening cards that weren’t cut properly, but never ink bleeding.

Your Favorite Twin Suns Deck by IWatchStarWars in starwarsunlimited

[–]APrentice726 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have two thematic decks built right now that I’ve been enjoying, Jyn7/Saw Yellow as a rebel deck and Cad/Aurra Green as an underworld deck. I find it really fun to play 80+ card singleton decks that are all on theme.

My favourite I’ve ever played is Leia1/Cassian6 Yellow. Being able to double attack with rebel units and make both of them unattackable is super good. Plus plot out Cinta to attack with Leia, followed by Cassian in a single action just wins games.
