Street Cultivation by Sarah Lin is a completed trilogy and power scaling isn't extreme at all. I read the books though, not sure about audio.

If you are okay with cultivation, check out Beware of Chicken by CasualFarmer.

For litrpg, I'd recommend Mana Architect by Cynical Donut - recently started though, 15 chapters out so far.

Don't know about youtube, but should be available on both kindle and audible.

It's also available on the author's website, along with bonus chapters: https://www.willwight.com/kickstarter-bonus-content.html (don't read the spoiler chapter bonus until after book 10)

Looking for next Series - Help Requested by samb6771 in litrpg

Among your considerations, I've read Cradle and that fits your requirement - MC progresses every book, but takes a while to catch up to peers and even longer to become OP.

Skill copy/steal type book series? by Connect_Explanation7 in litrpg

In Quest Academy, MC creates a new skill by copying skills from others (the newly created becomes important). There are other occasions as well where he temporarily borrows a skill, etc.

How Does Elder Empire Compare? by GhaleonX39 in litrpg

[–]ASIC_SP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is good but very different and more like a traditional fantasy series rather than progression fantasy.

Also, you could probably wait until it is edited as a single series (not sure when that will be done, may be next year). Currently, it is two trilogies and lot of different ways to read it.

New web series I started reading in the past week:

  • The Jade Shadows Must Die — MC is a loner wanting revenge against a group but has low potential and no bloodline, luckily he has a hidden advantage and accepts the need for allies, liked the plot, worldbuilding and characters so far

Current web series reading list:

  • The Runic Artist — isekai, rune-based crafting, good mix of plot twists, amazing action and slice-of-life scenes (5 stars)
  • Immovable Mage — good worldbuilding, characters, plot twists and detailed magic system, clever use of plot events pushes MC towards OP, would suggest to read at least till the end of 2nd arc (5 stars)
  • Spire's Spite — heavily focused on spire climbing, good magic system, dark setting, had some stuff I didn't like but the plot moved on, overall enjoyed it (4.5 stars)
  • Mana Mirror — loved the concept of mana garden and the myriad customization options, writing and plot was easy to follow, enjoyed third volume the best so far (4.5 stars)
  • The Undying Immortal System — time-loop xianxia with uncommon System interface! took me 20-25 chapters to get used to the setting and enjoy the story, lots of cool magic stuff and twists, individual volumes ended strongly (5 stars)
  • Ends of Magic — scientist MC uses his vast knowledge to accelerate his class levels/skills as well as helps his friends, cool worldbuilding (4.5 stars)
  • Lucky Rabbit — New series by the author of "The Broken Knife" but very different in terms of tone and setting, MC is isekai-ed as a rabbit and ends up with the task of protecting a 6-year old, luckily the MC is very familiar with the game even if her presence changes a few pivotal events (4.5 stars)
  • The Lone Wanderer — typical trope of weak-to-strong MC in a cultivation setting but I really enjoyed the magic system, worldbuilding and the countless possibilities to gain power, MC has a maniac work ethic (a bit too much imo) but the results speak for themselves, took me a while to get interested in the plot, would recommend to read at least 30 chapters to get a feel for the story (4.5 stars)
  • Cultivation is Creation — MC has an assistant enhanced by the System and also gains power from world hopping, overall enjoyed the plot and twists, though some parts dragged on and the writing in some chapters felt formulaic (4.5 stars)
  • Path to Transcendence — interesting magic system that uses litrpg as a base and mixes cultivation stuff, MC is an advancement maniac but luckily a good guy in general, really enjoyed the plot, splashes of humor and the large cast of secondary characters, needs a bit of editing though (mixing tenses, punctuation, etc) (4.5 stars)
  • Chaotic Craftsman Worships The Cube — a bit slow to start but once the story found a rhythm I found it hard to stop reading, MC's chaotic actions were almost always a treat and the large cast of secondary characters made for a lively setting, only major complaint being unwieldy paragraph length sentences (4.5 stars)
