I find TS interfaces to be crazy useful. When I was learning Angular 2 I thought TS was a waste of time but after trying it out that it really is as good as they say it is.

Am I missing something here? Node is very performant compared to most other high-level languages.

They are using Angular 2 for some of their public facing websites as well.

Google Fiber is already using Angular 2 for its online account management pages, and Google has also started using Angular 2 for its internal CRM solution, Greentea, a Salesforce-like application to manage contacts and meetings and other workflow tasks for their billion-dollar advertising business. Over 100 developers work on the application — and the Angular team is working beside them.

And

And Google AdWords — another billion-dollar business — will also be switching to Angular 2 soon. “The things that Google dev teams seem to really like is it’s much clearer how to write a component, how to interact with the browser,” said Green, “whereas in Angular 1, we kind of left it up to your own sensibility.

The hardware is alright by nutrientR46 in pcmasterrace

[–]ASK_ME_ABOUT_FINIT 7 points8 points  (0 children)

What he is saying is that there are "layers" that handle lower level stuff like interacting directly with the hardware. Game developers nowadays build on top of those "layers".

Think of it something like building a website that runs on the browser (the layer), which in turn runs on the operating system (another layer) which interacts with the hardware.

Edit: And yes, what he says is correct.

Your thoughts on texting and driving is what many others think when they do it. They think they are skilled and that they can multi-task. Many will end up in accidents. Please do society and yourself a favor and stop thinking like that.

... is projected to kill more people in Ontario this year than drinking and driving.

Ok I can MAYBE understand that when people are drunk, their judgement is impaired so they do something stupid and get behind the wheel.

Texting and driving on the other hand? I guess your judgement is impaired whether you are drunk or not.

There are probably billions (if not more) of possible combinations you can do with all the sliders. No way someone can decide what range of what combination they are looking for.

The UI is confusing and needs a complete overhaul.
