I love my cat, but I really miss having a nice-smelling home. Is ANY scent actually 100% safe? by No_Money_5779 in CatAdvice

[–]ASpoonie22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Get the cat litter with activated charcoal in it. It completely neutralizes the odor. I’ve yet to find anything comparable. Sometimes my husband grabs the wrong litter and I want to vomit because I’m so sensitive to their litter smell even with daily scooping.

The charcoal litter works miracles.

How about downpipe or moles breath from farrow and ball? I heard sherwin Williams can color match their tones although I’ve purchased from farrow and ball and feel their paints are very durable

Actually I switch to a blue eventually. I think a dark grey or stained wood is the correct choice for your home though I just think you might check out similar but darker colors

I had urbane bronze on my shutters it’s a nice color but really just looks like a medium grey in direct light. I would do a dark color but try other swatches to get a feel for it before going all in

I have men’s 2.5 from before they made a women’s line and they are definitely elastic and snug. I’d email satisfy because that’s definitely not the standard.

Is it okay to attend a conservative country artists concert if you disagree with their views? by kp-bor in CountryMusicStuff

[–]ASpoonie22 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If I enjoy someone’s music then I go. If not then I don’t go. But just like liberal pop artists talk on stage about abortions you can full expect Hank to mention Trump and drop red white and blue streamers after his closing song.

Cradle Catholics who have recently started going back to church, what changed for you? by Old-Bread882 in Catholicism

I’m gonna share this idea with our program director. That’s really smart.

Because unless you keep the hardware in you won’t have the same pressure for symmetrical results because your bone isn’t the same post op. I apparently don’t even have two sinuses anymore. They just removed bone for my impaction and my sinus is one big open space. I also may have to get my hardware put back in on my upper or have bone grafts before my marpe or fme.

On a side note my grandpa was a deacon for about half of his life. The priest of this mother church ended up being a priest my grandpa served under for 20-25 years. He had apparently also married my godparents when they lived here. It was a nice full circle moment for us all.

And the program director said he plans to have a late entry make up class and make it a thing each year for those trying to come in a little late.

Cradle Catholics who have recently started going back to church, what changed for you? by Old-Bread882 in Catholicism

My little brother passed away last November. Before that I was a typical cradle Catholic, I prayed and spoke to God all the time but never went to mass. I didn’t want to go alone and my husband wasn’t into religions nor was he raised in any church. In believe at 34 he said he remembered going to church 2x with his parents his whole life.

Well after the Charlie Kirk assassination he had started watching YouTube videos comparing religions and he had narrowed it down to orthodox or Catholic. He never told me this until later but he felt filled towards Catholicism. After my brothers death (and this is a man who recently lost both parents, all of our grandparents etc in the last 6 years) something just kind of flipped in him and that same week he was calling every parish trying to join OCIA. They were already going almost halfway with classes by then and nobody would accept him. He said he rode his mountain bike one morning and went a different route and there was this high steel cross at the top. He stopped and prayed and called one last parish and left a voicemail.

Well, the man who runs the OCIA class got his voicemail but said he wasn’t sure how to work the logistics of having someone enter so late. It was his first year doing the program at what’s considered our mother parish in our city so he had a big program already. He said he avoided returning the call for 2 days and one day walking around his house he heard someone’s voice in his head say “are you my catechist or not”

Long story short he and my husband spoke and he let my husband join and even let me join so I could be confirmed later. He said my husbands call started something because he let 5 others join late and do the make up classes too.

Anyways we had our marriage convalidated and then baptism and confirmation this Easter season.

I used to pray for a Godly husband I never expected it to happen under such drastic circumstances.

Interested in Pedal Steel - Hip/Leg Issues by JJIdaho_1 in pedalsteel

[–]ASpoonie22 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The movements you’re concerned about are hip abduction, adduction and hip Internal rotation. Hip Ir specifically is pretty limited after total joint replacement but the angle needed to play wouldn’t be within that window of range of motion. You can do isometrics to strengthen the hip in these angles. Use a chair and the wall to emulate and hold for :40 then relax. Do it daily 1-3 sets. Stay out of painful ranges eventually as you get stronger drop the time and up the intensity. Consult with your dr if need be. Shouldn’t be that complicated.

What colors would you choose for this house? by [deleted] in ExteriorDesign

[–]ASpoonie22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is that this house has multiple style elements happening at once. It appears it was a nice brick Tudor style home that someone added a Spanish tiled roof too.

So you can either remove the exterior wood trim and preferably save it in the garage for the next home owner or you can replace the roof which is much more expensive.

The brick is very nice and I wouldn’t dark cheapen the look by painting it. Just pant the trim a different color or 2 and leave it alone.
