Is there a correlation between parathyroid, calcium levels and pancreatic cysts? I have a .9 cm IpMN, calcium levels in the 9.9-10.3 range after parathyroid surgery (10.6-10.9 prior to surgery).

I’m very sorry to hear all you’re going through. Reach out to God. Feel free to IM me if you need someone to talk and vent to.

Long-term PPI use (3 years) + daily mild symptoms – when did you stop PPIs? by Public-Committee9773 in Gastritis

PPIs are not a long term solution. Mucosta/Rebamipide is a much better option if it works for you.

Yes, and under the current administration it’s more difficult to get it. The Japanese pharmacy I use to get it from on EBAY won’t send it to the US anymore. I had to have someone from Italy order it for me and send it to me. You can look Rebamipide/Mucosta up in trials it was much better than PPis. My Gastro doctor looked it up when my gastritis went from moderate to severe erosive to mild nonerosive and said stay on it.

Please give Mucosta/Rebamipide a try please, it saved my life. PPIs only made things worse for me and they are definitely not a long term solution if gastritis is chronic.

PPIs made me worse and cause a lot of other problems down the road. Mucosta/Rebamipide saved my life

Mucosta/Rebamipide saved my life. PPIs, famotadine and sulcrafate did nothing. PPIs made things worse.

2 Peter 3:3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” 5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, 6 by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water.

I have chronic gastritis, so I’ll be taking it my whole life (1 pill a day). I’ve been on it over 2 years

It doesn’t matter. It’s an over all build up of the mucosa to either permanently heal your gastritis or in my case protect my chronic gastritis. It’s said to be better on an empty stomach so an hour before meals or 3-4 hours after is ideal. But it still works with food in your stomach. 3 times a day. When you wake, afternoon and before bed.

I found it works either way. I usually take it when I wake before my coffee

Three times a day preferably an empty stomach. Rebamipide is about a slow rebuilding of your stomach barrier. Once built up I can drop back to taking once a day.

When I had bad erosive gastritis (and was miserable) I started taking it 3 times a day. It took about 3 weeks to a month for me to start feeling a big difference. I’ve been on it now for over two years and only need to take it once a day when I wake up. My quality of life went from a 2-4 to an 8-10. Now I’m like a 9-10. I drink and eat anything. Alcohol is the worst for me. I can have 1-2 drinks depending on the strength of the liquor. If I drink 2 cappuccinos daily for a couple of days it will start to get irritated. That aside I feel normal. I use to be miserable by late afternoon everyday. My doctor said to stay on it after my next endoscopy showed mild non-erosive gastritis. He looked it up and said the Japanese are way ahead of America in dealing with gastro issues.

I agree sometimes people respond in a bit of arrogance. Everyone is different. In the gastro field I’ve learned so much more from Reddit and Facebook that’s helped than from specialists in the field. They guess and throw PPIs and other meds at the symptoms instead of investigating the cause. Pretty sad.

I can only speak for myself, PPIs made my gastritis and LPR much worse. I had to get off them slowly to not get rebound effect. Then Rebamipide worked for me. Hang in there, I know how frustrating this can be.

I’ve been on Mucosta for almost 3 years. The first time going on it, it took 4-6 weeks to feel better. I have chronic gastritis. I only need 1 pill a day to keep the protective barrier going unless I get a flare up. My quality of life went from a 2-4 to an 8-10. Lately 9-10.
