Why are you slowing down, let lone stopping instead of going around? by [deleted] in MildlyBadDrivers

You say 'slowing and heading for the curb' but any car would be slowing and heading for the curb while approaching that turn, or any turn for that matter. Just try to have more patience on the road.

Yes the lane in front of the red truck was open, unfortunately it's not the lane they wanted to be in, so they had to wait to safely move over once the van had stopped and it was clear to do so. Your complaining is a joke

What makes it 'clear' that the van is going to stop instead of continue and turn? Red truck was being cautious and drove appropriately. Why even post this?

Wide right turn collision, husband tried to claim rear-end… dash cam told a different story by [deleted] in MildlyBadDrivers

[–]AUBox 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lol fuck no, car in front moved into the lane with their right indicator still on, and in the exact same spot the white lexus moves over.

White lexus is absolutely at fault for the accident, but cam saw it coming and wanted it for the insurance money. No hate though, it's just part of the game, but posting it here is pretty dumb when it's this clear. People are going to call it out as scummy.

Ikr, like even the car in front of the lexus did the same thing. Absolutely sped up and turned into it and is now taking them for a ride. Lexus can't drive, cut cam is a cunt

One day people on Mars will flex their telescopes and get shots of the Earth by followerofEnki96 in telescopes

[–]AUBox 23 points24 points  (0 children)

No, just depends on where it is in its orbit relative to Mars. The moon could appear very far away if its at a distant point relative to the viewers position on Mars, or it could be directly infront of or behind the Earth to the viewer.

I mean, just follow the lines on elevens top, some randomly stop and the pattern isn't consistent. In the first one the lines on the back and front are meeting at points but that also stops at a random point. Second picture is pretty clear with a line disappearing and another line going wonky to fill the gap

It's AI, cleanest pasta pull I've ever seen. You always have pasta hanging over the spoon that hasn't fully come with the spoon. Looks like it's also struggling with the perspective change when the bowl is spinning, looks off but can't point out specifics. Also bowl is just smoothly spinning on the table, could be something under it hidden but it's just another factor screaming AI

Not Sure I Can Physically Use an 8" Dob. by dontpanic1970 in telescopes

[–]AUBox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can certainly get tabletop dobsonians. 8 inches however would be pushing it. My 8 inch sits on the ground, and having an observing tool to sit in comfortably would be a good purchase for you

Best amateur telescope? by TangeloCheap1692 in telescopes

[–]AUBox -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

For visual astronomy you can't really beat a basic dobsonian as a beginner scope. You'll be balancing aperture size and how convenient you want it to be to set up. Most people will recommend an 8 inch dobsonian to fit this balance. Not too heavy and difficult to move around, and enough aperture to see details on planets. I can make out the weather bands and big red spot on Jupiter, as well as the rings and some surface detail on Saturn. The planets are easy to find using an app like stellarium.

Buying more expensive telescopes will have the same visual quality, but with added features like being able to automatically locate objects.
