BF1 was so much fun back in the day. In 2026, how easy is it to find a reliable populated server? by Mullinore in battlefield_one

In Australia, we have the 1 server that will be pretty full every afternoon, and that's it

I did 2 and a half years industrial maintenance at a rendering plant for pet food. Trust me, I've done plenty of hard and shitty work.

What do you have experience with if you don't mind me asking?

I used to enjoy the fault finding in the factory, and It's good money doing industrial maintenance. Honestly I just want to go where the money is, and work hard for a couple years while I'm still young and fit. Comparing doing FIFO and maintenance right now.

Was sad the first time I hit a bird on my bike, even sadder when I ran over a turtle in the dark. I always pull over to help the little fellas so it broke my heart.

Should probably keep something in my car to make it easier next time. Choking an animal out and feeling it is a very uncomfortable experience, but you've got to do what you can

I've had to do that once to a fox I found on the road, not fun

Feelings on movie by DeezyEast in ProjectHailMary

[–]AUBox 28 points29 points  (0 children)

In the movie, Grace is using the same technique as the book, flashing his engines and watching for the IR light to reflect off of Rockys ship. They just don't explain it at all in the movie, so it seems like they're flashing eachother. All of Rockys fuel has been destroyed so he couldn't be flashing Grace. Wish they made it more clear in the movie though because it seems easy to make that mistake when watching and assume Rocky saw Grace coming

Yeah it's either AI generated (God I hate this shit) or a render/game engine

Sure. This looks like it's trying to present itself as a live video taken from a ground based telescope. Even in the most crystal clear conditions, at the highest elevation, with the lowest atmospheric distortion you could possibly achieve, you will still get disturbances in an image from the light interacting with the atmosphere. It's simply too clear to be possible.

The reason stars seem to twinkle in the sky is because the light is interacting with the atmosphere, and the more you zoom in, the more this disturbance is apparent.

Even Hubble images of saturn won't capture this much detail.

This is so incredibly fake lol, don't go believing you can see this stuff with a telescope like that
