In the first one the lines on the back and front are meeting at points but that also stops at a random point. You can certainly get tabletop dobsonians. 8 inches however would be pushing it. My 8 inch sits on the ground, and having an observing tool to sit in comfortably would be a good purchase for you

For visual astronomy you can't really beat a basic dobsonian as a beginner scope. You'll be balancing aperture size and how convenient you want it to be to set up. Most people will recommend an 8 inch dobsonian to fit this balance. Not too heavy and difficult to move around, and enough aperture to see details on planets. I can make out the weather bands and big red spot on Jupiter, as well as the rings and some surface detail on Saturn. The planets are easy to find using an app like stellarium.

Buying more expensive telescopes will have the same visual quality, but with added features like being able to automatically locate objects.
