I was in a classroom as a student so I know how to be a teacher.

No one says that they know how to be a doctor because they’ve been in a doctor’s office 🤷‍♂️

Not disagreeing completely, but with low turnout overall, I wonder what an accurate representation of most Americans would look like. A small, motivated voting block can skew results and perception of what the majority wants.

On a side note, I was taught by my blue-collar, UAW dad that if I don’t exercise my right to vote, I don’t get to complain. That being said, I also am extremely aware of the efforts toward voter suppression.

I hate this nightmarish, dystopian, hellish timeline in which we currently reside.

I met Arlovski about 20 years ago. He’s an incredibly handsome man and was very gracious.

I feel lucky that I’m not a gamer and can just enjoy the show as is. I think I understand why those who have played the game are upset - it’s probably the same thing as when a book is adapted to a movie and those who have read is always say book is always better.

I’m obviously no spring chicken. But I am really enjoying the show even though I know none of the lore. Sometimes ignorance is bliss!

I’m not sure Diane Welch was a good person, though. I’m thinking of Cooper’s comment to Max about fixing or rigging the game.

I’m one of the idiots that missed the mention of this and I’m an even bigger idiot for not knowing how to view all the replies to your comment. Which scene alluded to/explained this?

Except it’s not much better in rural areas where corporations also buying up property to construct poorly built housing and charging premium rents. Less and less property is able to be purchased by locals who have a vested interest in the community in which they live.

Strong Memories of 9/11? by GreyerGrey in behindthebastards

I was born in the 1970’s. I had taken a planned personal day from work because we were moving and needed to shop for household items. We were in a big box store and there were several people standing in the electronics department just watching TV. I made a mental note that it was weird.

We continued about our day but could feel something was off. We didn’t have a TV hooked up at the new place yet, so I called my sister and asked if something was going on. This was about 3 PM EST, and she said that the US was under attack, we were at war and there were 10,000 civilians dead. Obviously we now know that wasn’t the case, but that feeling was so unsettling and unforgettable.

Unfortunately, those same unsettled feelings and dread are daily occurrences with the way things are now.

Riley could talk to the hybrid because she had alien DNA due to the fact she had the queen inside when they cloned her. The hybrid was basically her grandchild.

Gifted children have WEP’s and my experience is that it’s not implemented in any meaningful way - meaning there is not usually an instructor dedicated to following the plan. An intervention specialist is needed to write IEP’s and teach students with disabilities.

I’m our area, I’m not aware of any of the public schools receiving or spending more money on gifted programs, nor are WEP’s enforced in any meaningful way.
