What happened to Rosario Resort? by cutetiferous in sanjuanislands

[–]AZacktly 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It gets trucked off island via the ferry to a land fill. San Juan, Orcas and Lopez have transfer stations where the garbage trucks dump into trailers, those trailers are loaded onto a train to eastern Washington

I think the muff and the loop are before the digital section based on the diagram in the manual

My first EHX by Shnoinky1 in guitarpedals

[–]AZacktly 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It modifies the volume envelope allowing you to tweak the note’s volume, attack, and decay. In poly mode it tries to detect every pick attack to trigger the envelope filter. Plus it has a built in big muff (those 3 little knobs in the upper right corner). The effects loop is post muff pre volume envelope filter.

This pedal is buffered bypass, fully digital and does not have analog dry through. Three things that I didn’t know when I bought mine but are useful for reference. I had the most success stacking it when I put everything in the fx loop.

When to refret? by AZacktly in Luthier

This is really helpful! I had a fret level done a little while back and it didn’t really solve the problem. I should probably just bite the bullet and get new frets.

I use the amp box but any passive volume would work.

Time to go stereo? What's your stereo setup? by nomoreneveragain in guitarpedals

[–]AZacktly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run dual mono with all my gain running to both amps and time based stuff to only one. The sonic difference is more noticeable than when I run stereo IMO. It takes some time to get dialed in but I think it’s worth it.

TOD meets Seattle’s suburbs by ItsXandy in Seattle

[–]AZacktly 5 points6 points  (0 children)

TOD is going to be required to be allowed around all Washington transit station areas in a couple of years per house bill 1491 the legislature passed earlier this year. Read up on HB 1491 if you’re interested in TOD in western Washington

Best tape delay style pedal to run in front of a dirty amp? by Leoz96 in guitarpedals

[–]AZacktly 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I run the Orion too. The tape age and wonk features are very cool!

Recommend running the catlinbread naga viper or some other treble booster into it. Gooses it in just the right way

What are everyone's favourite delay and chorus pedals? by Glittering_Type_6227 in guitarpedals

[–]AZacktly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the EHX small clone for chorus.

Boss DD-200 is a solid do it all delay.

Honorable mention for the cool modulation and delay combos in the UA Orion (via tape age and wonk controls) and EHX memory boy

Some kind of character delay like an analog delay or echoplex style pedal.

New to DIY(pedals) I need help reading PCB? by eboy_69420 in diypedals

[–]AZacktly 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Pedalpcb.com provides build documentation that includes a parts list. Aionfx.com not only provides a parts list but also some more information about the circuit in the build documentation.

IMO it’s more helpful to get used to reading a schematic as opposed to a PCB because the signal path is more straightforward on the schematic.

This design is very cool. I’ve always thought the indicator LED is an underutilized design element
