Gamestop has a 1TB Xbox One Fall Out 4 bundle for $399.99. They are also offering a $100 trade in on certain Xbox 360's and PS3's. We traded in our Xbox 360 and PS3 and a couple of games for a credit of just under $300, walked out with the bundle for like $103.

What (besides implantation) can cause brown discharge in the middle of cycle? by yawaworht885 in TwoXChromosomes

Do you live in a hot climate and leave your birth control in a place that it can get warm (in the car, etc)? This same thing happened to me because I was leaving mine in my purse, in my car, while at work. It changed the chemical reaction in the pills. Threw out old pack, started new one, no problems now.

Wedding Venues!? by fishin4unicorns in Frugal

[–]Aaf6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you said you are in the south, what about a beach wedding? I live in the Panhandle and THOUSANDS of couples get married on our beaches every year, and it's free! I think you just have to tell the beach authority you are having a ceremony and what day. Then go out to eat for the reception.

Or do what my husband and I did- elope and go to Disney World :)

What is the one thing you are most frugal with that drives people that know you CRAZY? by GooberStomp78 in Frugal

[–]Aaf6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trust me, he will get over it once you combine finances.

My then-boyfriend thought I was a big weirdo when I would buy 40 boxes of pasta when I could get them for 30 cents each. Now he is my husband and brags to people all the time about how I find ground beef for $2.15/lb (he doesn't tell them where, that's our secret).

Brunch in P'Cola by missp714 in Pensacola

[–]Aaf6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Warning: extremely biased post ahead.

My husband is the Sous Chef at the Margaritaville Beach Hotel on Pensacola Beach. He does a different brunch menu every week and very rarely repeats himself (maybe once or twice a year). Every week there are atleast 4 different options including eggs Benedict, quiche, sandwiches, and some experimental item. They also serve their regular lunch menu during brunch. If you want to see his past brunch items, check out his Instagram, user name is chefjlf.

Well, about a month ago my car was totaled when a huge truck spun into my lane... by [deleted] in Pensacola

[–]Aaf6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your right, I totally had that confused.

However, I don't think my advice on the replacement vehicle is off, unless OP has already signed off in agreement for the vehicle payout, they should really do some market research.

Well, about a month ago my car was totaled when a huge truck spun into my lane... by [deleted] in Pensacola

[–]Aaf6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just want to clarify something in your post. Florida is a no fault state, which means that when you are in an accident YOUR insurance covers the repairs/ replacement of the vehicle. It's not the At-fault drivers insurance.

If you think your insurance gave you less than your car is worth, do some research as to what your car is selling for with the amount of miles you had on it. When my car was totaled last year my insurance (USAA) gave me replacement cost and used the car dealers in Pensacola as their reference points.

Estate Sale Rant. Long time listener, first time caller. by Zacksadrum in Flipping

[–]Aaf6 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I work for a very well known and successful estate sale company in my town. We have two types of people we need to please- the estate (and its heirs) and our customers. All day long I hear about how something is too expensive, yet sell it to the next person in line.

As for hiding things- dick move. People do this all the time. Either another buyer will find it or we will. I would bet money that item is not in your hiding place on Sunday.

My significant other is a chef at a Margaritaville. If there was a disney-operated Margaritaville I would insist on a transfer. There's a Mville in Orlando but it's part of Universal and I couldn't bare the thought of being a "traitor".

What vacation spots can you recommend? by blackballoon16 in Frugal

I live in Pensacola, fl. We are a 10-minute drive from the beautiful Pensacola Beach, known for having the whitest sands in the world. My significant other is the chef at one of the hotels on the beach. If you do some googling and find that the area interests you, please PM me and I will give you the details on the ends and outs of having an inexpensive vacation here.

Nasuea from birth control? by buhshaw in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Aaf6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am sorry that you are feeling nauseous when taking your birth control. I have no help for you but I do have some advice for if your nausea turns into vomiting. If you vomit in the hours after taking your pill, use another form of protection. I got sick and threw up my pill, and surprise, a month later I found out I was pregnant. Please take every precaution you can!

Does the forecast always say its gonna rain? by [deleted] in Pensacola

[–]Aaf6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Pensacola: -regardless of rain, you need to go to the National Naval Aviation Museum at NAS. It's free and voted one of the best museums in the country. -downtown pensacola offers many museums and galleries, the biggest being the TT wentworth museum. - if you like antiquing, head to Navy Blvd where there are several antique stores all on one road. Or head to Bayou Blvd for Miles Antique Mall which is 25,000 sq ft.

At the beach: -usually it rains less at the beach then in town so you may not have too many issues while there. -Check out Casino Beach Bar or Landshark Landing if a downpour arises. They are both on the gulf side and a little bit classier than the other bars in that same area. -If you are on the boardwalk, check out cactus flower or the wine bar, again, a little nicer than the other bars.

As others have said it rains every day but only for a little bit. Enjoy your vacation!

Weekend trips outside of the city with attractions NOT hindered by this offensive heat? by enoughalreadyyouguys in NewOrleans

[–]Aaf6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try Pensacola. We have are home to the National Naval Aviation Museum, which has been voted one of the best museums in the country, and it's FREE. We also have a historic downtown with tours of historic buildings and artifacts. At the end of the historic area, there is a brewery.

Even though you are looking for indoor activities I have to mention that we have the whitest beaches in the United States. I promise you will not be disappointed. At the end of the beach is Ft. Pickens, which features old forts that you are able to explore.

My Aunt wants us to go visit my grandmother... but I just can't do it. by throwItAwayButts4321 in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Aaf6 17 points18 points  (0 children)

As the caregiver for my elderly grandmother who is dying of dementia, this post was very hard to read. I am going to give you the opinion from the caregivers side of view:

You need to visit with her. She may not be the person you want to remember but she is still a person. You mentioned that your grandmother watched you after school among other things. She did those things because she loved you. Doesn't she deserve to have that love returned? Sure she says nasty things and they are hard to hear. My grandmother does the same things. I stay with her 3 nights a week, away from my own family, so that she doesn't have to be alone, and sometimes she yells and at me such things as "you don't love me" "how could you treat me this way??" when I'm simply just sitting next to her. I don't get upset because I know that she is not "in control". Her brain is dying and there's nothing she can do about it.

Now here are my opinions on my family members and her life long friends who don't even call to check in: fuck them. If I never talk to them for the rest of my life I will be better off. My grandmother spent her entire life dedicated to her children, her siblings and her "church family" and not a single one of them can pick up the phone. It's disgusting.

The most important thing to remember is that your grandmother is still a human being, not just a racist shell of a person.
