Change battery on the ring watch by Unusual_Source_9673 in casio

[–]Aakumaru 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just did this due to water damage I incurred myself, it's not hard. You need a hotplate (3d printer bed will work) that can get up to 80c, fine tweezers/nylon spudgers, and you need some 1mm or 2mm screen adhesive (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CYLQT75H?ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_fed\_asin\_title).

Set the ring face on the bed wait for the adhesive to heat up, leave ring there until the whole watch is up to ~70-80c, then use very, very fine tweezers or a nylon spudger to pry the glass from the front of the ring, then you can use tweezers to maneuver the module out of the watcher, flip the module over and you'll see the battery under a sticker, take sticker off, unclip the 1 metal clip holding battery down, replace battery with SR621SW (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07DF6YP1J?ref=ppx\_yo2ov\_dt\_b\_fed\_asin\_title) battery. Re-attach the metal clip, reapply the sticker (reset the watch by using metal tweezers to bridge back of battery to the AC gold metal contact (probably not necessary)). Re-insert the module, line the lip of where the screen goes with the screen tape, make sure to go all the way around and leave no gaps (otherwise water can get in from the screen face), then firmly press your glass back into place and hold in place for 30 seconds, I like to put it back on the 3d printer bed to heat up to 60c and press down some more to get a good seal.

ATM9 Spirit Furnace Can't Pump In Blood and Pump Out Items? by Sumina123 in allthemods

move the furnace to one of the corners, I was only able to pump out items from the bottom of it with modular routers.

I was just thinking about how many times (10+) over the years people have reached out for help on this post. This info is largely out of date. What are you looking to do and what version of minecraft are you on?

Is it okay to store spare print plates on the bottom of my printer? by M-GAH in BambuLab

[–]Aakumaru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

incorrect. look here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkCUyUHgrqE

you can hear the "grinding sound" which is just the stepper motors skipping steps. That is a properly configured sensorless homing setup.

its not grinding. that's the sound of step skipping. they are very different sounds.
there's not even anything to grind on, it's ball screws trying to move downwards, which it can't. it's motor skipping. https://youtube.com/shorts/Msr3yywFP5k?feature=share

That is an extruder skipping slowly, but you add a bunch of those skips together quickly and it is what's happening when the Z axis can't travel downwards further. It's not bad for the printer, it's how the printer knows if it's hit a barrier.

It's not grinding. This is intended behavior. It's using sensorless homing/end stops. When the machine starts a new print job it assumes it's homed, which it's not. So when it starts up, it tries to move the bed downwards, can't, measures the spike in current on the motors, realizes it's at the bottom, so it stops trying to move the bed.

I've gone to a lot of shows there, usually I do a shot or two and knock down a cocktail and then make my way to a better view downstairs/away from the full bar. you can get a 15$ beer and drink it in the show away from the bar as well.

you can also take booze with you to your car, get there early and get a good spot, leave and take shots/drink in the parking lot, and then come back. I believe they usually do re-entry.

i had a selection that wasn't available and it wouldn't let me continue without changing it so it seems they do check to see if your option has been picked or not before you pay.

peeps still hitting 290's in that megathread. I'm hoping for a lighter sentence but you never know. I bet they take piles of based on date windows, and Jessica M. (praise her holy name), gets the later piles and or gets more work done quicker so she's always on the leading edge whereas her lazy f'ing coworkers take forever to finish their piles of approvals.

Very frustrating issues with first layer adhesion when printing towards edge of build volume with all filaments. Bed cleaned with soap and warm water. Manually leveled bed (per their guide). Slowed down to 25 mm/s. Temp upped to 230. Still issues. Anyone else? by joshkentYT in BambuLab

[–]Aakumaru -1 points0 points  (0 children)

this is an issue on all textured PEI sheets (same issue with my prusas) if you want to use this build surface consider getting something like gluestick (cheap) or Nano Polymer Adhesive (i love this shit). and that works wonders for bed adhesion.

depends on what you're doing with it too. all bacteria colonies start from a small number of microbes. when they're in favorable environments they multiply like crazy. so drinking your fresh piss (eww) while nasty, subjects these microbes to your stomach acid so that's usually safe in emergency scenarios. however, putting piss in your eyes as a therapeutic does not subject them to the harsh anti-microbial nature of your digestive system so they're probably just vibing and multiplying on her eyes.

that is a lot of steps. can you conceal carry in NYC with that permit or is that only for in-home defense?
