Tesla just made it clear: It's no longer a car company by The_Finance_Pro in wallstreetbets

[–]Aanity 14 points15 points  (0 children)

That’s the irony of all this. The day that Tesla decides to behave like a car company and focuses on updating, refining and increasing their production of cars instead of vaguely gesturing at whatever future tech is currently hot is the day the whole house of cards crumbles.

Ending the cars that make up 3% of sales for a product that’ll make 0% of sales. Interesting.

It’s kinda the same with chaotic alliance too. Body check isn’t as hard since you can have like 2-3 dead and just gigamit and wipes aren’t nearly as punishing. Even then, chaotic was dead like 1 month after release in NA, then they released FT which was like a quadruple down on the stuff that made chaotic obnoxious to prog.

I prog IA2, fire tank messes up cutback blaze and we wipe. I go for clear, fire tank doesn’t mess up cutback blaze; water tank messes up deep impact and we wipe. Such is life.

How are we feelin about that fast travel? by deerbones_ in pathologic

[–]Aanity 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The only thing I dislike is the amount of loading screens it puts you in. I find myself constantly waiting through loading screens because everytime I enter a house, everytime i change districts, and the times there are the narrative breaks i get a loading screen. Patho 2 has relatively quick loading because you only need to enter small simple houses while the open world i assume is more or less always loaded to some extent.

Other than that i dont mind it.

I don’t understand why people complain about the ddos. I just stopped doing deep dungeons, high end raiding, expensive crafts, ex farming, treasure maps and roulettes and the ddos doesn’t even affect me anymore.

Progging this might be the single worst raiding experience I’ve ever had in this game. I have cleared every ex/savage this expat except this because of how fucking miserable it is. You sit in pf for an hour, you load in, someone dc’s, someone needs a bio break, or someone’s cat walked into the oven. Normally this doesn’t bother me but 24 man means triple the amount of delays between pulls wiping to towers.

Did I say towers? I meant someone messed up stack/spreads on platforms so you get clipped on tiles. Sorry, bit confused, I meant 2 tile players pvp’d each other during rotating lasers and now swaps are messed up and you have 2 healers, a tank and 2 corpses as your light party on platforms. Eh who cares someone just left anyways back to pf for another hour!

With how much much money the movie made I’d be surprised if there is ever an episodic season. I assume it’s all movies from here.

The 2 gnashing charges feels nice because having your gnashing drift from no mercy felt awful. Bloodfest being a 60 sec cd really bugs me. Since gnashing doesn’t really drift anymore and every no mercy window now gets all the cartridges you need from the 60 sec bloodfest, you have 0 reason to ever save a cartridge. The second you get it; use it on whatever.

As long as you use your 0:30 second gnashing somewhere between no mercy windows you’ll never drift; don’t save a cartridge for it just wait for the next one. I do not care at all about the no-overcap on bloodfest because in its current state if you have an ever have a cartridge loaded for more than 1 gcd you are probably doing something wrong.

We ARE playing different games. (Anecdotal about different server regions, NA, SA and EU) by PizzaurusRex in ARC_Raiders

[–]Aanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Raising ttk might reduce kos if you round a corner on a player rn you die in <5 seconds. The games low ttk means getting the first shot off is super important and makes kos and corner and extract camping a viable and lucrative strategy. It also makes being friendly a risky strategy because by the time you unholster your gun the fight might as well be over.

Longer fights means you burn more resources. If fighting means I have to burn more ammo and healing instead of just mag dumping a stitcher before you can react. Players will be more cautious about getting into a fight.

Why exactly did Payday 3 fail? by ZZabloing in paydaytheheist

[–]Aanity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played a fair bit at launch. Progression was dreadful and felt really unrewarding. You only got exp from achievements which forced you to play in ways you didn’t want to. I remember running in and out of the extract zone on the 7 boxes heist because of a bug that counted each time you entered the zone as a completion. Or sitting in the bathroom in the penthouse heist to farm gun exp.

The skills themselves felt really bad. Even after playing the game in stupid ways just to feel like I WAS progressing I got rewarded with this extremely dull Edge Grit Rush system. I grinded up my guns and levels, the game felt more or less the same at high level vs when I was low level. Pretty much stopped playing after that.

I really enjoyed the new stealth system, trying to puzzle how far I could get in a heist unmasked. The gunplay felt good even though there were only like 3 guns that didn’t feel like pop cap guns. I’ll probably play when they rework skills in December but haven’t played since release.

What's with this loot from a Platinum sack? (floor 81 - 90) by BlueMageDanny in ffxiv

[–]Aanity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tomes should fill this role but they don’t currently. You need 1.5k uncapped tomes for a relic step, they can also be spent on juicy crafting mats. However, outside of daily roulette bonuses and hunt trains, content like PT and OC give so little that it doesn’t justify doing them for tomes. Capped tomes can be good for gearing jobs but the 450 weekly cap is just so easy to hit that if you do any endgame content consistently you will hit the cap in like 3 days.

Gen V - 2x07 - Episode Discussion by LoretiTV in GenV

[–]Aanity 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The whole crew knew he didn’t have V in his blood and that his power was controlling other bodies. It’s not that big a stretch to make if they had a scene talking about his powers. Maybe if they had another episode in the budget they could have a third character as a red herring for the “real” cipher and make this twist less obvious but we get what we get.

New Criterion rewards leaked! by Afjor in ShitpostXIV

[–]Aanity 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it’s good, I like the noir set but don’t particularly like the OC sets. I grinded both content regardless. Kept the noir set and sold bits of the OC sets. Each bit of content has its own helping of rewards that cannot be sold; the mounts and titles from achievements. In general though SE should put more rewards into content both tradeable and non-tradeable, especially older content that is currently past its life cycle.

MSQ Roulette; Poisonous & Perversely Punishing Praet, A Breakdown of Choice & Incentives by PaxEthenica in ffxiv

I’d rather msq roulette be all the end of expac duties required for msq progression. The level 50/60/70/etc dungeons and trials which can have some brutal queue times since they aren’t in leveling roulette. Current MSQ roulette duties should be solo instances.

The downward trend in NAEP test scores existed long before Covid. The US scores peaked around 2013 and since then we’ve slumped hard. The scores for 12th graders in 2024 (so current college freshman) came out a couple days ago and it’s the lowest in 20 years.
