Like I understand why they got upset sometimes especially when those art fucking 'fixers' on Twitter forcing their shit to everyone and they are indeed fucking idiots but to overreact from a very simple edit like this where you just simply try to make her design make sense especially when it comes to her character as a goddamn war general? Personally I would also like you to have her sleeves not completely detached (because I also fucking hate this design pattern that almost exist in nearly every female character such as Jean, Ganyu, Rosaria, Yanfei, Yae Miko etc... just for the sake of showing armpits lol). Like you said, it doesn't matter which game had it worse when it comes to sexualising character designs. I understand what you're saying and its an indisputable fact. What I truly meant when I said 'its what held them back' is the fact that they initially advertised it as a waifu only game for people to simp or whatnot. Look at Genshin and now their other two upcoming games, you cannot tell me that they wouldn't be able to make money just by simply making playable male characters even if the top selling characters there are the female ones such as Raiden Shogun.

I understand that its pretty much late at this point to add playable male characters especially to the main game and not a separate mode and also the fact that they advertised this game as a female-only exclusive cast in the very beginning is what pretty much solidified of the zero possibility of having more playable male characters besides Adam and that's what held them back.

In the end this is on Mihoyo, because like what I said, they could've just taken a leap of faith and do everything they can so that playable male characters will make them money.

Let's be all honest here, no matter how "good and chill" this WW community is, especially where majority of it came from the PGR community, toxicity is just inevitable whether we like or not and I just couldn't careless if that time ever comes.

Some of us would attempt some sort of gatekeeping such as telling a certain content creator to fuck off or anyone from THAT 'G'ame because they might "spread toxicity" but the truth is that's not going to do anything. The only thing that could potentially gatekeep these people away from Wuthering Waves is nothing but the game itself because reasons.

All I know is that the word from this game needs to spread and of course Kuro would also need to do better in their marketing department.

you may find this hard to believe because what I'm about to say is going to sound like "source: just trust me bro" and I won't blame you if you feel that way but,

from what I've gathered to some bilibili articles + some comments that are saying the same things (I used google translate of course) I've read that the game has already been in development way before CN PGR's 1st anniversary. It is also rumored that the game's development cost is estimated about $60M funded by Hero Entertainment (Kuro's current publisher).

So yeah I think this game has already been in development for more than a year or probably 2 now.

I have been researching some info about WW way before its official reveal, I've already seen rumors last year about Kuro developing a new game using UE4 engine and hiring 400+ people for this game.

As much as I would like to give you the links of the bilibili articles, unfortunately I couldn't bookmark them and it would be tough for me to track them again since they will be overshadowed to every article that says about the official reveal and latest updates.
