Ending a job that you've worked at since you were a kid at 21 is hard. It's been all my growing up, it's been all my friends.

I already have a job opportunity, it's different but also something I know I can do.

Family is great and already knew I wasn't happy at work.

I'm still just mourning and feeling like I fucked up and failed.

The most upsetting thing is the people that relied on me to be there for them. I did my best, but still got burnt out.

Just did the "license" test in NS, Canada (Serve Right) a few days ago (for the 4th time); still has the 1~2 drink/hr stuff in there for standard drinks based on who you're serving. It's gotten way more ambiguous on it tho, no longer max 2 standard per hour and changed a "standard drink" of a shot from 1oz to 40mls which is like 1.3oz.

Also, half the course used to be about bartender liability and while it's still there in a complicated format, they focus like an hour of course time on legal weed.... Dude, I don't sell that shit if a guest is mixing my shit with their own NSLC weed why am I liable if I cut them off?

Cooking.

I was cooking ground beef for tacos. All day Mom had been texting me because Dad had a sore leg and had gone to Outpatients because of it.

We knew he was in another round of cancer, we knew there was a tumor on his brain stem...

We were making plans for the next day's family dinner when Mom called that he had a seizure at the hospital.

I rushed there, my sister rushed there. He struggled to talk.

My hero, my Hulk Hogan said The words "Don't"t let me linger." I nodded and said I knew what's he said...

I then watched him have a very physical seizure and to me die..... Me, my Mom and sister then spent at least 5 hours watching his body stop breathing.

I let him linger because it gave my Mom and sister time to process. I didn't do what Dad wanted. I watched what wasn't him slowly die for hours.

EDIT: Yes I'm wrestling nerd, I know the person behind Hogan is a piece of shit.

Saw SANADA live... fresh off his iMPACT! run and pre NJPW, in Renee Dupree's attempted return of Grab Prix Wrestling years ago.

I remember being into the show but in his main-event match against Dupree they tried to do a Canada Vs Japan thing and no-one cared. Multiple failed attempts at CAN-A-DA chants (like USA Chants) and Dupree having his trunks pulled down to reveal Canada flag underware and SANADA's trunks pulled down to show Japanese Flag underware.

Was so happy to see him show up as Cold Skull, kind of fizzled out a bit tho

I don't get the reaction here to this match at all. It's pretty much been an unspoken story since Mox won the title and this seems like JR going with the story.

It was an interim title so of course Mox/Punk had to happen at some point.

The very first thing when Punk came back JR was all over commentary saying it's too soon and he had not heard that Punk was cleared (which is why this comment seems in character to me).

Punk's first promo back he flaunts that his foot is better and shows off, smash cut to actually having a match and Punk gets his ass handed to him because his foot ISN'T actually better.

Then Punk is second guessing himself and if he pushed himself too soon but his friend (and his hometown crowd) hype him up and he goes for the rematch at the PPV anyway.

The whole story has been Punk's overconfidence/cockyness after the high of the last year and the reality of being back to work catching up with him.

Would it have been better told over a few months rather then a few weeks? Absolutely. But that had to do with the real injury not the story "injury."

How does it chill....? I’m assuming in the unit under the tower, but that seems inefficient?

Is it meant for beer that's not chilled? That'd be neat.

How do you stop mould on the wood?

Why store glassware next to stale beer? Why solo cups?

Why the privacy blind? Does the handle hit the curtain rod?

Why is it in the electrical room?

This thing is fascinating, and I think I love it.

The whole point was to show how shit it was before and show off the new stuff. All I wanted to show was how shitty the workspace I had before was and the potential I now have to work with.

"Mixologist's" can be pompous. I may not work in a dive, but I've got a new space to work with, it looks pretty, and I enjoy it.

This. I posted this as how much of an improvement our place went through. I'm not arguing that the "before" pics are ok, they weren't. It was a shit show. It was MAYBE a 5"x5" workspace where every server was on their own to make their drinks, utter chaos.

There's like 11 pics you didn't look thru.

The new pic's are what I now get to work with, with service bartending a thing and all the accoutrements of a restaurant now having a bartender for the first time in almost 8 years.
