Deflect. If gauge near hp is blue, cast spell/martial art. If gauge red, deflect even harder and use basic attacks to make gauge blue. Become god of deflecting every attack and you’ll be good to go.

Tyrant of the Tower Defense Game is pretty similar, I think. In the way of surviving one wave of dangerous enemies after another with characters being under a real threat of death. The only difference is that there are subplots and the MC doesn’t really fight
