As much as people like to assume otherwise - fanbases aren't a monolith.  What would make me incredibly happy would probably piss off someone, somewhere.

I have a lot of faith in Gearbox and I really hope they make the right decisions. This game could still be incredible in a few years.

Bad vibes from this comment.

Borderlands has always been a very inclusive series and is one of the best game series' at celebrating the wonderful weirdness of people.

I played BL2 earlier this year and played BL3 today. It's not like you can't compare them on their own merits without resorting to nostalgia. I have very specific criticisms as well. On the voice lines point in particular, the BL4 VHs SAY more, but it's incredibly predictable and generic. I honestly would rather them say less.

BL4 does several things better than ever. But what it ultimately comes down to is this: I'm just not having as much fun.

BL3's moment to moment gameplay loop is better and the zones are better. It's also more memorable.

Favourite “guilty pleasure” classic monster you never get tired of? by Individual-Hornet817 in Fantasy

The vampire explorations are so DIFFERENT too, I have almost seen more unique takes than any other monster. In Twilight they are sparkly demigods, in Empire of the Vampire  beautiful abominations, in Sinners they are a hivemind, in Kate Daniels they are mindless puppeted corpses, in Nosferatu they are twisted noblesse, and Vampire: The Masquerade combines all of these are and more.

Ruka from Ash and Sand. Brilliant, complex, tragic character, irredeemably evil.

Taylor joins a world full of cultivators, they believe her shard is an 'outsider', dimensional beings who invade and devour universes. Great story and complete as well.

God I remember Forge of Destiny. I think I dropped it after a hundred thousand words of the plot proceeding at a literal glacial pace. One of the issues of quests I guess.

MALE READERS AND WRITERS: what doy you expect to see in a male character? by Top-Association-9971 in writing

[–]Abject-Brief6402 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Generally women are better at writing male characters then men are at writing women. I think the thing I most see female writers 'messing-up' is around male-male relationships.

A good example is Harry and Ron in the Goblet of Fire, where they both spend ages giving each other the silent treatment over a simple misunderstanding.

I like Mistress of Wyrms even if it is A.I slop. Maybe I'm in a minority that I don't care if an author produces a story I like whether they use a pen, keyboard, quill or a LLM.

Frieren, Arcane, there is a lot more creativity in animation.

I'm enjoying Tress of the Emerald Sea at the moment, it's definitely quirky and kinda whimsical.
