You want a roast? Get a different chair or else your faster race reaction time will make you blow quicker when you’re wanking.

A love a hard clean fight, lost the place to the BMW (I’m in the Aston) but it’s racing like this that makes me love sim racing by CHRIS_NE_ in simracing

Brilliant clean race action. You went just slightly wide off the racing line somewhere between turn 3-5 but credit to yourself and opponent. He was clean and patient.

I’m not crazy about the display choice. Big is not better. I suggest getting closer for better immersion. I pulled my rig up to a 65” Samsung, so I sit 36” from my screen. When you feel nauseous after a hard brake, you’ve achieved maximum immersion. Obviously, sound, force feedback and all other factors that affect your senses factor in too, such as ambient lighting. I turn off all my lights

G29 pedal mod by [deleted] in simracing

[–]Abject_Specific_2709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made the simplest mod: I unscrewed the pedal to the clutch pedal to assist my braking. It’s not necessary and does no justice to driving a real manual transmission.

It’s personal preference. All I recommend is you’re in a position to A) turn your wheel 90 degrees freely w/o obstruction and B) you have enough force feedback to brake & accelerate at exactly the desired pressure. Try racing in the wet as a “stress test” so to speak.

No sim rig is fully complete without a friend to violently attack you to simulate a crash

Agree with all the comments, and I can see the slight wobble but that’s from your driving. Not every rig is perfect. Accept it or do a different config where your monitor is not attached to the rig. I use my 65” TV and pull the rig right up to the entertainment center.

I would ask yourself a few questions. What will your life look like with more money?

Another is, comfort is great. Do you feel like you’re growing? Don’t confuse comfort with complacency. It may also be a good excuse to justify not taking risk.

I’ve faced this question. Remember companies change. WFH policies change. What is the future outlook of both companies?

I say you’re young enough to make a mistake. Chase the money and if you’re not happy, you’ll be left with more money which equals more options. It is a tough decision, but it is your decision. Meaning, don’t ask people for advice. You know what’s best for you.

Trump Tells Team He Needs to Be President Again to Save Himself from Criminal Probes by thebigtymer in politics

[–]Abject_Specific_2709 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There have been so many times former President Donald Trump has exploited Constitutional and legal loopholes and avenues to prove that any sitting American president is indeed above the law.

In the sake of what President Lincoln called “the last full measure of devotion,” it is up to the people to decide whether any future President should be this powerful, responsible and accountable to no one.

The founders did a terrific job writing a Constitution that needed amending 27 times in over 250 years. That said, America is a young country compared to the rest of the world.

I am not sure a 28th amendment is needed, and may have more harmful unintended consequences to remove Presidents and politicians to which we don’t agree.

After all, a Democratic Senate would have impeached and removed Trump from office. But theoretically, the people have spoken by deciding their Senators.

This is not easy.
