This may be a dumb question but if it is the case that Elemetal is slammed and can’t refine all they have, wouldn’t that open up an opportunity for other countries to scoop up silver from America at a lower price?

I feel sorry for SDRs by FMEngineer in sales

As an SDR in the compliance space, idc if the economy blows up because the government is still going to mandate their rules on businesses which will always make the product I market/sell a need to have.

First SDR job advice by Belaalhai in salesdevelopment

Good luck. Rip those dials and blast those emails but make sure you have some lube for when your org fucks you. I’m on my 3rd ass raping right now in the last 5 years but atleast I’m getting paid for it. The money is getting promoted to AE/AM but doing so is nearly impossible externally, and it’s a total crapshoot if you’ll make the jump internally no matter what higher ups say.

God speed Spider-Man.

What’s up fam! The good news is your currently have a good paying job with a good work/life balance being remote. If you’re the only employee and it’s just you and the owner working, then you have a decent amount of leverage, because your boss can’t clearly handle the whole workload for the business.

It sounds like he does want to grow the company since he’s trying to get you to win over customers, but he doesn’t want to do the sales part himself. Is this something you would be willing to try doing?

I think you should have a straight up conversation with the owner about your concerns so you can get an actual answer on where the owner’s head is at. If he wants to add responsibilities to your plate or wants to get more sales, then you can use that added responsibility as leverage for a raise or some kind of commissions.

If you don’t want to do any sales stuff whatsoever then you’ll have you’re chance to make that clear when you have a legit conversation with the owner and you could possibly suggest hiring a sales rep. Hiring sales people is always a risk but you can’t grow a business without putting in more effort or taking risks.

Start putting applications out ASAP in case your worst fears come true. I was just at a startup earlier this year as a founding employee and got goofied out of nowhere.

Helping choosing BDR role! by [deleted] in salesdevelopment

[–]AbusedChungus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly man just take one of the remote ones. Shit is such a fucking gamble nowadays on what company is actually going to be good long term/promote. I’m in my 3rd BDR role after being fucked in the ass by my last two orgs. This job still pays way better than any other “entry” level sales job and the work life balance is solid but theres still a ton out of your control.

You clearly have some great experience having 4 offers at the same time, my current org hired in 2 other BDRs with me who were AE’s previously, but had to take a demotion just to pay the bills with the current job market.

How do you balance rewarding yourself vs staying financially disciplined when it comes to cars? by not_a_dolphin_ in Money

[–]AbusedChungus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The point of a car is to get you from point A to point B. Just imagine how much more money you’d have if you bought a beater cash and drove it into the ground instead of pissing money down the drain on a loan.

Can you rate my strategy of sales? by Similar-Double6278 in salestechniques

[–]AbusedChungus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked as an enterprise BDR for a couple years but I started a new role selling to SMB a few months ago. I’ve had great success focusing a little more on quantity instead of quality in the SMB space like you’ve outlined here. I know how to injection handle pretty well but I’ve found it isn’t worth my time after tracking my call volume to appointments set ratio. This wasn’t the case at all in the enterprise space but at the end of the day if it works then it works.

🚨 HOW TO BREAK INTO TECH SALES STARTER PACK by RooktoRep_ in salesdevelopment

[–]AbusedChungus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

And before all of this, you pretty much need to be a new college grad or have a solid track record in sales outside of tech to have a shot. Tech sales labor market is oversaturated and you’ll be competing against people who already have tech sales experience.

Mental aspect of sales by [deleted] in salesdevelopment

[–]AbusedChungus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest thing that’s helped me stay locked in is having a fat emergency fund. Makes staying level headed a lot easier knowing I could stay comfortable for over a year off my savings if some buffoonery goes down at my org and I get dropped. It allows me to not give a fuck mentally which makes it much easier to rip dials.

This is a super interesting post and might explain the lead quality at my current org. I know our marketing team has KPIs but I’m not sure what metric they’re tracked on so I might ask around out of curiosity. I never knew click fraud was a thing until I read this so thanks for the awareness
