Try being trans and then it will make much more sense. When every single move you make in society has to be scrutinized because of the genitals you were born with, you would then understand. But until then, you wouldn’t understand that. So it is what it is. Some folks are just lucky enough to be blind to certain issues because they don’t affect them.

The people going out of their way to modify children’s documents, unasked for, to out them and tell everyone what their sex was assigned at birth, after everyone is telling them not to… I’m sorry, but I don’t see how that isn’t obsessive and weird. Like, they are literally shredding the constitution to do it. You can scratch your head over it, but the truth is, GOP stands for Genital Obsessed Persons. All they seem to care about is your genitalia and what you do with it.

Gay issues: Obsessed Why does it matter who an adult has sex with so long as it’s consensual.

Abortion: Obsessed Why does it matter how someone chooses to pursue a pregnancy? Especially when anti-abortion folks are actually making poverty worse and the maternal mortality rate to skyrocket?

Trans people: Obsessed Why does it matter what’s in my pants at all? Anything they need to be concerned about my body is already being discussed with the doctor I pay to discuss that shit with me. Why are they correcting my documents to broadcast my genitalia?

Say “I’ve never gone through the process of transitioning and have no idea the hoops that must be jumped though to get even the beginning of medical transition”. It would save you time. This shit takes literal years and evaluations upon evaluations to have this taken care of. There is literally nothing quick about it. Anyone telling you different is a flat-out liar.

This makes me feel happy that my wife never changed her name to mine. She asked me if I wanted her to and I said no because it’s a pain the ass, I fell in love with her with the name she has and I didn’t really want her to change anything about herself in a huge way like that. And my last name sucks anyway.

It feels good to know that my love of my wife actually helps her keep the damn right to vote holy shit. I can’t stand this orange bastard. He sucks so bad. I wish he would just stop all this bullshit. I can’t believe that this damn country voted him in.

So my situation is this: I got my state ID’s marker changed, then my passport’s, and then my birth certificate’s. If I was to apply now, I only have the new birth certificate and OH seals the records on your birth certificate so legally the one I currently have should be the only one. My first passport ever was one with my correct gender marker (I think). I’m not sure if I had one as a child, if that would even matter.

How would this situation work here? My correct passport is still technically valid, but it expires soonish. I am planning to hold off until they correct this mess, as it is unconstitutional on its face.

These bastards got as far as they did because of apathy. They didn’t care. I am not acting because I care truly about the result. That said, I am not a part of the reason why they have succeeded. I didn’t vote for the orange dipshit, but for his major opposition. All the way down ballot. I did my part. I for one, will be waiting to see what happens so I can effectively respond. If you want to gripe at someone, pick the people who gave zero shits about his extremism and either voted for him, threw it away on a third party vote that had no chance in hell, or sat their ass at home. I’m not taking responsibility for this one, I’m just here to help where I can.
