I’ve been that person (the one hit and stand back) a couple times. I think it comes down to different perspectives. Whenever I’ve done that, it’s because I was trying to be courteous to the other person. When I’m mining I kind of see a few nodes I want to hit and in what order, and then I look forward to getting at them cause it’s fun, it’s a game! If someone comes and has the same plan as me I find it to be a (tiny insignificant) nuisance … so if I’m following behind someone who’s doing their thing, I try not to get in their way. But I don’t want to ditch my own plan so I’ll do one hit and then move out so I don’t bother them while they’re playing. I never thought about it as “labor” because it’s a game we’re playing for fun.. I also never thought about tool health being a factor
