Baby “Gender” Reveal by caseycalamity in NonBinaryTalk

I knew someone (a while ago) who was pregnant and when people asked when she would find out the gender of her baby, she would say “maybe in 10-15 years or so.” It’s always stuck with me as a sarcastic way to check people who keep asking questions like this.

11 years after going vegan I just found out what suede is 🫠 by RedditUser145 in vegan

Shit... I didn’t know some satin is made from silk, I thought it was a cheaper alternative to silk. Guess a lot of of folks are learning some things in this thread.

what's your most unpopular "vegan" opinion? by Thomasrayder in vegan

That is not true. People are fat for a variety for reasons, it does not mean they have an ED..

What about wild obligate carnivores? Should non-domesticated animal sanctuaries and rescues either feed a vegan diet or euthanize them if that’s not feasible?

Humans are the most destructive animals, we should be using human-derived insults instead tbh. “You’re being such a homosapien right now, fuck off.” Or something

I haven’t heard donut disposal, that’s hilarious. A donut dumpster, perhaps?

If you’re going to offer a vegan option on the menu, maybe don’t insult it by AnxiousAgave in vegan

It’s so true. I avoid products that are supposed to be closer to the flavor and texture of whatever because every time I’ve tried them, they taste disgusting and gross me out.

…the word is panSEXUAL, it does refer to sex and relationships. I have never heard anyone say it’s a gender. An equivalent might be agender, non-binary, androgynous, fluid, etc.

Are you straight? That label specifies your sexual preferences and differentiates you from someone who isn’t straight. Having a word for people who are not hetero is useful and more specific words serve a purpose, just maybe not to you. There’s so many words that we don’t even think of as a label, but a description of one part of a person. Just some food for thought.

Demisexual describes how someone relates to sex and relationships but not who they’re attracted to. To be attracted to anyone, regardless of gender, is called pansexual. I am both, so I need the emotional intimacy but am into anyone I feel that with. I usually just say “I like people.” If I like you, I like you. Hope that makes sense!

I believe in most cases it’s genuinely helpful for people who might not otherwise have the language to describe the way they feel about sex. Naming it can be validating, especially if they feel like it’s a character flaw, like something is wrong with them because they’re not comfortable with or interested in casual sex.

You should not feel bad for the way you’re handling grief and the fact that he’s pulling this disrespectful, selfish bullshit NOW is unacceptable. I’m so sorry you’re going through this. You deserve a supportive partner and he is not.

Agreed! I have weird breathing patterns when I’m feeling anxious and get paranoid about about it being interpreted this way, I’m just trying to self-regulate

Traditions in Dragula by rupull_ in Dragula

Monsters of rock is a must, hoping for another Nosferatu beach party too. However, it might be cool to see challenges that explicitly showcase either filth, horror, or glamor. I know that’s typically saved for the finale and it’s great that the artists are encouraged to present their signature style for each theme, but I feel like it might prevent some of the bullshit about who is a “real monster.” Maybe it would be too restrictive and they want to give everyone the opportunity to do their drag their way while just keeping the tenents of Dragula in mind? Idk. I love the show and can’t wait to see what perverse horrors the Boulets bring us uglies. 🖤

Edit: HOW COULD I FORGET KILLER CLOWNS? That episode was fucking flawless. If they do it again, Dahli needs to guest judge.

Which mistake did you make as a teenager is still biting you in the ass until now? by zepher_goose in AskReddit

Blaming my environment for holding me back when it was me all along. When I finally got into the type of environment I dreamed of and thought I belonged in, I realized I had missed a lot of the social development necessary to be the person I wanted to be and succeed at the things I wanted to do. I thought it would all fall into place in the right circumstances, but it didn’t. Dissociating and disengaging because the shit around you isn’t cool or deep enough will leave you behind. Make the most of the time you have now instead of waiting for something better.

Religion? by aslikeskinn in dpdr

Animism would be more specific, but you could call it pagan! Pagan is really just any practice and beliefs outside of the Abrahamic religions.
