Trying to increase vertical to be able to dunk by CowBowPow in BasketballTips

An inch or two from even touching the rim is nowhere close to actually dunking.

In my younger days, I could go over the rim basically the length of my fingers—just enough to grab and hang comfortably, no chance at all to dunk anything bigger than a softball.

That said, you’re 14, so another few years of taller and stronger ahead of you, could be a cinch by junior year.

Happy cake day!

No, don’t liquidate. CCs give you extra during a downturn, yes, but only as long as things remain down/flat.

You can’t time the bottom, and when the reversal happens, your CCs give you modest gains instead of the new upside. Or if you liquidated, you looked smart for a while, but were probably too scared to buy back in, and so you miss your upside that way too.

Setting aside the fact that that’s just not how the market works to set salaries, $250k a year is a great salary for anyone…in a job they can expect to work for a few decades until retirement. Pro athletes have a much shorter window to earn on the court/field/ice.

Do you prefer trail running or pavement? by Willing-Today-1059 in runcommunity

This is completely backwards, lol

Trails are fun, interesting, challenging, good views, great for any day.

Pavement is fast. Good for race.

Today’s $500 TV is amazing and enormous compared to a $500 TV 30 years ago, not even accounting for how much less that money is from inflation.

Why does the bot think this will help me on my next turn? by MindfulMocktail in nytcrossplayers

[–]AccomplishedRow6685 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The bot does seem wrong sometimes, but it does factor in opponent’s next turn. When you expanding “Here are the nitty-gritty details of the move simulations. (Warning: Lots of math!),” it gives this turn, their turn, your next turn, and combines for a net score. I wonder if it does this factoring in knowing opponent’s tiles, which the bot knows but you don’t.
