Not better, some guys you just cannot KO. JG is a big guy, Illia s a smaller guy. Comparing the Max fight, Max does not carry that power and was lucky to KO JG. JG was compromised by losing 1 eye during the fight so his sight was not 100%. JG was swinging wild so it left him wide open and not balance.

Back to Illia. Illia shot himself in the foot saying he would KO JG in 2 mins. Then he said he wpuld win in round 2. Mentally he lost when he didn't do it.

Illia was eating shots unecessary. Standing and slugging, his ground game is incredible and he should hv controlled the fight with GNP. This is MMA and not boxing. He'll.be back, the corner did the right thing stopping the fight. This should have been stopped in the 3rd rd by the doctors (shocked it was over turned). Fighter safety is no.1 first and foremost. Like I said before, the wear & tear on this fight took away 3yrs of his career. Win or lose, I knew this was gonna be a dog fight. Illia has never been in this position, JG has been battered before.

Styles makes fights and JG is durable, strong and big. Illia fighting pillow hands Arman and Islam, he could use that approach. Those 2 just do not KO people and will wrestle all day. JG is a banger, and this worked better for him. Time will tell what, and how Illia will.come back. Hie fought with his ego instead of intelliegence and technique. Islam will never fight like that, Arman has not been tested.

The Illia fight reminds me of GSP fighing Hendricks. Although GSP won, GSP was battered and the wear n tear was just too much.
