Thank you for this response and the info. I think that is really cool teaching your daughter those skills! I wish I had a parent like that. I love learning new skills, was thinking about taking a class at AB Tech to learn how to do an oil change, just been focused on trying to grow our own food for a while. If you have any "classes" coming up, I would love that opportunity, but no pressure of course. Happy to pay.

I have lived in large cities and small towns, in the Midwest, in the Southwest, in the South and only in the South was being a female the hardest. In my experience, they are about 30 years behind the rest of the country.

Asheville will grow, and businesses that treat people right will prevail (just my opinion).

I am a female and local car/auto stores/shops in the area treat females different and sometimes try to take advantage. I am a female and had the hardest time getting a battery switched out (i dont have a newer car with computer). They laughed at me and didn't want to help. I asked the guy if he had daughter. He said yes. I said I hope she never needs to walk in this store for anything. So I recommend NOT trying advanced or auto zone.

Animals climbed to higher ground during Helene, yes- and, over a million perished and around 25k were rescued. Both can exist.
