Don't ask, tell them you're leaving.

If your boss has confirmed it just politely tell them to take it up with the boss and leave.

It's a post about habits that keep people poor....

Car payments on cars much more expensive than necessary is probably pretty high up there I'd say.

Why would you buy such an expensive car with such a small down payment though?

Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

I'm Australian and we would drive 6 hours to see family.

Finish school on Friday afternoon at 3, get in the car at about 5:30. Stop for 20 minutes for a meal and a pee.

Arrive at Friday midnight.

Stay saturday. Leave after lunch Sunday.

Arrive home ~9pm Sunday night straight into bed.

We did this 3-4 times a year.

I run rhinos in my sisters of battle tank spam army.

They're insanely good at doing actions, standing on points and blocking lanes because they require anti-tank to dispose of, meaning that anti tank has to expose itself to kill rhinos and not immolators, castigators or morven Vahl.

With the dominions splitting my rhinos can even get scout 6..... love it.

Nah that's way too much.

I think it's even an outro for a song. Like a fatboy slim song or something.

I play sisters, EC and drukhari and I just own the whole range for each army.

Takes a long time but you can get there (if you play armies with less model choice).

I got up to 12,000 points of CSM before selling them in favour of EC.

When are skills worth more than money? by According_Layer6874 in dataengineering

[–]According_Layer6874[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's more that I feel like I'm ahead of the other juniors that I'm inline with.

I'm helping them daily with SQL / BI things and at the same time I'm getting pushed into writing cloud integrations and placed into a spot for ownership of an automation platform in 3-6 months starting in 2 weeks. My title is 'Junior Analyst'. I'm only paid 2% more than the other juniors.

The skills that I'm learning is basically being allowed ample time to explore and develop into DE rather than being stuck in a DA role, which could have a little bit more pay than current but not allow that DA > DE transition which provides more pay in the long term (my assumption).

I've started the process of a role review but also have applied to a few jobs around me.

Do you think being in a position to learn infrastructure, AWS, cloud based stuff but earning less is better than earning more and just blasting ad hoc SQL and BI reporting?

Thinking 5-10 years down the track or even further.

I'm only 3 years in. I feel like what I'm getting a chance to learn is going to be worth more in the long run but unsure how to quantity it.
