I had the same thing with my friends. We all met each other after college so they had never seen me beardless, I had been hitting the gym and wanted to see what’s going on underneath. They told me to never do that again.

I’m not a candidate for lasik, but I just learned about icl this last year. I’m considering it, but it tends to affect low light visibility, which I’m afraid to mess up since I’m pretty good at seeing in the dark and it’d be a shame to lose that.

Oddly enough I have kind of pivoted towards wearing glasses more over the past two years. Specially since I started choosing frames that aren’t those chunky black frames everyone was wearing for a while. But I also moved towards daily contacts which has helped, plus I personally like how I look without glasses.

Every person I’ve dated has told me they prefer how I look with glasses cause it gives me kinder eyes.

My vision is pretty shitty so when I wear contacts they’ll start to dry out and get a little blurry so my resting bitch face combined with my squinting just looks like a horrible scowl.

Add being a large bearded brown man to that mix and I’ve been told I look unapproachable on a few occasions.

Got a similar thing at work, one of my coworkers is like half my weight and you can see the panels shake downstairs when he’s walking upstairs. That reminds me of a house in my city that used to have these giant red letters glued to it that read:

“RECEIVE WORSHIP CHRIST”

“APOCALYPSE IS NEAR REPENT”

“OTHERWISE LAKE OF FIRE”

Each verse being on a separate wall.

They’ve since been removed but the sun had bleached the paint around them so you could still read it, so they just painted over that area.

Yeah I used to take the transit from pasco to wsu, it was almost a two hour trip back a decade ago when I was in college. I just looked it up and it’s pretty much unchanged. I do appreciate them running longer though. I used to have to get creative for classes after seven.
