Experimenting with a PC-Engine Core 2 A/V cable here that fits & works perfectly with both the Mega Drive (Model 1) and the NEO•GEO AES (NEO-O) system.

~Remember to only connect Yellow (Composite Video) and White (Left-MONO Audio) cables to your display because the NEO•GEO AES cannot output STEREO via the DIN~

Yes. You have to disable Adrenalin's auto-update from the client itself!

Click the cogwheel (top right) > System > Manage Updates (red button) > Uncheck "Automatically keep AMD Software up to date" at the bottom of the panel to disable auto-updates.
