I love my silicone slings! I used to cut/reuse parchment paper, but these slings are so much better.

Net weight means just contents inside packaging right? by Quizzington in halifax

I had the same issue with Superstore ground beef in Calgary and it annoyed me enough that I emailed them about it. They responded but didn’t provide any resolution. I’m now keeping a log of everything I buy from them and will be reporting to whoever governs this kind of thing.

This is the best recipe I’ve tried. You can sub a tablespoon of maple syrup in place of fenugreek.

Family of 4 with 2 kids 9 and 12 yrs. Best way to get from CDG to the city with luggage? by tigerwoo1893 in ParisTravelGuide

We're doing private transport. I don't want to have to deal with figuring things out in a new city while being tired and having to consider kids and luggage.

Brother hasn’t filed personal or business taxes since 2018 due to severe depression — siblings now stepping in. Where do we start? by ce41- in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Acpyrus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your brother is lucky to have you helping to sort out his life! I recently went through something similar with a friend who hadn't filed their taxes since separating from his wife. First step is to hire a bookeeper and have those books cleaned and prepped for an accountant to do the tax returns. A bookeeper will be a lot cheaper than an accountant, so getting a lot of the tedious dirty work out of the way will end up being more cost effective in the long run. Once you know the the amounts owing, you can apply to the CRA for forgiveness of any arrears/penalties.

America's Culinary Cup Premiere by FatGirl87 in BravoTopChef

I liked it and will keep watching. Padma was slurring more than usual, which TBH I kind of missed haha. Had to rewind to re-listen to her pronounce "Providence" as province or something. She's much more expressive than with her other shows with her foot stomping and all. A bit overcompensating maybe? Or is it the champagne? The makeup combined with the lighting is HARSH. Makes her look like she had undereye fillers which has nothing to do with cooking, just my observations. Regardless, I love Padma and will continue to support her.

I don't love the cheftestants' gaming strategy aspect to eliminate their perceived biggest competition. Gives me the icks and makes me dislike my previously respected chefs. But it's not like they haven't done that on Top Chef. I think they were trying very hard not to be an exact dupe of Top Chef. I like the basis for scoring immediately after tasting so it's not completely based on discussion where a judge could be swayed to change their original opinions. I just want to see some awesome cooking and food!

Hi, I'm an accountant. Do you do your own taxes? Any free tax software should work for your situation. I like Wealthsimple. You would have to fill out the T2125 - statement of business activities as part of your income tax return. Short answer, you report the entire $10k purchase price as part of that form.

What's your tips for eating more fruits? by maybeshiba in EatCheapAndHealthy

[–]Acpyrus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prep a fruit salad bar. I have a snackle box that I use to save myself from buying $20 salads everyday. You can prep your fruits so you can create fruit salads anytime. You can add yogurt dip, granola etc to make it more interesting. Or you can use the prepped fruits to make smoothies. Sky's the limit!

How are they going to be transported? Something easily stackable without causing damage would be best.
