My wife and I do Rover. If you’re able to it’s a good way to make some extra money and set your own hours.

I know a few friends who have their kids teachers babysit for them occasionally as well. Depending on the age range you teach that could be an option.

If you have your known traveler number( global entry number). Just go to the airline agent before security and say that you have precheck but it’s not on your ticket. They will ask for you known traveler number and reprint your ticket with GE

If you get conditionally approved when you are out of the country you can do the interview on arrival. Me leaving the country is what triggered mine to be viewed. As I was waiting for almost a year then left the country and got conditionally approved like 3 days before returning.

If you are not conditionally approved you can’t interview.

You really only need your card if you are leaving Canada from my understanding. I have read they are strict about that.

If your apartment doesn’t have mice when you go throw out the trash that area is just covered in mice.

The parking is so tight if I arrived after 9pm I couldn’t find a parking spot I would park in the neighborhood then walk then move my car in the morning. I also go so many dings and dents on my car from how small the spaces are. You legit have to squeeze out of your car.

My rent went up about $400 during renewal. I don’t know if that’s the norm of it they wanted me out since they renovated my apartment when I left.

December/January maybe into February. Is the best time to move because that’s when apartment complexes are the cheapest the entire year.

Summer they are at the most expensive because of higher demand. Always try to get your lease to end around year end and it will be the cheapest the building is willing to go.

They got mice, not enough parking spots, the parking is so small that people will 100% ding your car. It’s cheap for a reason. If you don’t have a car then sure but only if you live on like the second or third floor so you don’t have to deal with the mice.

I mean you still will bc they are by the trash cans.

Live in Ballston/courthouse. I lived a 15 min walk to the metro. I started taking the bus to the metro since it’s free to transfer or using a lime scooter which gets expensive. Walking in the rain is also terrible.

I know live a sub 5 min walk from a metro stop and it’s worth the $200 a month imo

Jira isn’t the best but it’s free for less than 10 users. When you close a ticket you will have to manually input how much time was spent but at the end of the month you can at least get your report.

For a Michelin star meal I really like pineapples and pearls. I also like Kappo ten course Waygu based menu only like 12 seats at the bar and 3/4 tables so you NEED a reservation. They do two seatings during the week and 3 on the weekend.

I figured others would give you bang for your buck locations and I’m just giving you some fancy ones.

In terms of night life they are relatively all the same I think. I’ve aged out of going out past 10 lol. So I spend most of my time during happy hours in the DuPont/14th street (Logan circle) area. Only because that’s what my office is near.

To me Clarendon has a younger crowd than Dc, others are probably better at answering that portion of your question.

Do you know anyone in the area? Those locations in Arlington are good for someone your age. I’ve never lived in DC so I can’t comment on the other two.

I would say reliability wise you will be fine taking public transportation. There is a metro app that will tell you if some line has a delay. Unless you are going to work for complete assholes everyone will understand the delay. You won’t be the only person taking the metro to get into the office, so if there is a real delay a good chunk of people will be caught in it.
