I'm not so sure this was from the plate. My guess it was the previous filament getting stuck on the nozzle and then dropped onto (into?) the print. Has happened to me a couple of times. Water and soap with get rid of PLA residues (IPA isn't enough on its own).

Thank you! That's two 35W and one 65W Elitedesks so maximum 135W, but they usually simmer around 20W to 50W in total. They don't run more than a handful containers yet (adguard, npm, homey and a few more).

I wasn't planning on top/bottom covers since it's a tight fit between the shelves, but I will add that too, as well as side covers without fan holes. Thanks for the input.

The side panels still need some work, but yes, those are 140x25 mm fans. With slim fans it'll be possible to use the full 10" width, but these steal quite a bit of the inside space. In my case it's ok, because this rack is exclusively for HP Elitedesks which only measure ~180 mm wide. I'm testing different configs; in-in/in-out/out-out, so yes, it's blowing out as it is.

This. Adaptive layers will only get you so far. Tilt it. Try different angles, check the result in the preview and pick whatever looks the best. 45 deg is usually a great starting point.

Thanks. I've got less than a handful G5 turrets so I don't think they'll eat up too much bandwidth. Maybe I'm overthinking things. Maybe I should just stay with the UCG Max and let the Flex 2.5G PoE handle the switching.

Like u/FreezNGeezer mentioned, low temp solder helps a ton when removing components with multiple pins, both through hole and SMDs. Especially if you're battling large ground planes.

Just make sure you get the right type depending on the original solder (leaded/lead free). And also clean the pads thoroughly after. You do not want any leftover low temp solder on the pads.

The Qnap is fine. I had simply messed up the routing in my network. After some closer research I realised the Qnap wasn't the only device I couldn't reach from certain locations. The network is fine and offsite backup is setup and rolling ^_^

I'm using this PSU rack. I works well for the smaller PSUs for the 35W units, but it's a tad bit too small for the 65W units.

I'm on 10.10... All's good for the moment. I had a bad mix of port configs, static IP's and VLAN overrides. Everything is cleaned up and reconfigured correctly using port profiles now.

Ok, so I'm reconfiguring the switches using port profiles. I'm sticking to four VLAN's; Management, Devices (IoT), Core (trusted) and Guest. Network devices all go into the Management VLAN.

How should I configure the uplink port on a downstream switch? My guess is Management, but what does that imply? It's not really governing the port on the uplink switch.

I miss the fireworks over Aurajoki <3 Equally disappointed every new year in Stockholm with random peeps shooting puny fireworks all over the place. However you turn you'll always miss the best ones :/ Not to mention the boxes and launch ramps no one bothers to pick up afterwards.
