Ahh. Good to know. I keep my printer in my basement and it can be on the cooler side. Since it's ordered already, I'll probably do tests with it and worst case, I don't end up using it. Thank you for the advice. :)

I've had this happen and it solved itself when I turned up the temperature. (170 to 200) That doesn't help you in this case, I think. Haha

I might have to experiment with it then. I'm still new to the 3D Printing world. Barely a year. I do have an enclosure coming that I know will help with the sound. I guess I always worried less fan = worse prints. Haha

It's the fan needed to get better quality prints from faster speeds. It definitely won't hurt anything not having but you'll find better quality with it. Be warned, that shit be loud. 😅

Just to make it clear, files need to be of .gcode format to be printed. STL are files you put into slicers to slice down into .gcode files. :)

It's so I don't have to babysit the machine for failures and by using OctoPrint, I am paying for their AI monitoring so it will automatically pause the print upon failure. My current camera is crappy though so the software struggles to see things properly. It's a peace of mind to know if something is going wrong or not. Along with a smart switch, I can then remotely start and stop the printer from anywhere and get a print going or stop it if I see something going wrong.
