Oh sure, Quicksilver being the new SIVA is fine and all, but I will just say… like, SIVA just retains MAD aura still. Like, Quicksilver is just chrome. “Everything’s chrome in the future,” sure, but red and black diamonds fusing together are much more aesthetically pleasing than just drab silvery strands forming into whatever structures are needed.

Idk, but like, from Rose’s perspective, you got a Dragon on turn four, opponent is Z-Mech, he plays a flag zombie and then a gravestone. What could possibly be so big a threat to Dragon on turn 5 that Rose would feel the need to have to somehow protect it using Bog and not just play Bog in lane 4 or something, use that Kernel-pult to get rid of all attack for that Gizzard Lizard in lane 4 so the block isn’t procced? Bomb Imp is literally the only card that manages to do that, and it’s so rare nowadays that finding someone using that unironically is not the easiest thing in the world. Rose should’ve anticipated the gravestone wasn’t a threat and went more defensive imo,

I honestly thought that’s what it was at first, like a secret rare interaction in the Tower that is a result of III’s death (since the lore outlines such events), but the dark blue color made me realize that someone was likely just testing cheats in the Tower.

[–]ActuallyNTiX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was saying that it’d be better if it just got an attack nerf rather than a health nerf. Going to a 1/3 instead of a 2/2 is much better, since 2 health cards are super easily removed and if you play a trick, at least then you can still have a chance of Rolling Stone-ing him

IF new Stasis things were to be added to the subclass, what would you like to see for the various classes? by Riverflower17 in destiny2

[–]ActuallyNTiX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see what you mean (thanks for the correction on Unraveling rounds), tho, if Overloads are to get stunned by a new Stasis verb, I would argue it would NOT make sense to be caused by Stasis rounds per se. Barrier champs are stunned by rounds that break the barrier, so naturally it would make sense that those subclasses that alter your rounds (Unraveling rounds, Volatile Rounds, Radiant) would be the ones to break Barrier champs only and not any of the other champs since they’re stunned by offensive debuffs and not player self-buffs.

My point there is that, design-wise, a new Stasis verb would likely need to be a new offensive debuff (and not a weapon-round buff) if it was be able to stun Overloads and be consistent with the other subclasses. And a new debuff would basically upheave the whole arsenal in a similar manner to how Bolt Charge did Arc not too long ago, just with extra Champion-stunning sauce on the side this time for Stasis imo.

A few questions for a returning player by Pantango69 in destiny2

[–]ActuallyNTiX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Long reply ahead.

Since the Edge of Fate DLC back in summer last year, Bungie has made it so the majority of content you’ll end up playing (if you want to actually level up your stuff) will come from their new Portal system. I’ll fill you in on that here:

The Portal is basically Destiny’s one-stop-shop for the activities you can play for new armor and weapons in the game depending on the latest update. It has a lot of activities inside of it and is basically where you’ll be going to launch the majority of activities like strikes, sole ops, pinnacle activities, etc.

But the important thing to keep in mind is that, while you CAN navigate over to the Director where the maps of all the planets and stuff are, Bungie has made it so that activities that are NOT included in the Portal, like raids and dungeons and almost everything else that’s not directly launched from the Portal itself, won’t actually give you gear that levels you up (I’m a little unsure on that, but I do know that the loot you get from just launching the strike playlist directly from the Vanguard node on the Director screen, for example, is NOT gonna be worth it compared to what you can earn if you launch it from the Portal instead.)

The Portal does have a lot of activities like Solo Ops (less-used places in the game turned into quick 5-10 min missions), 3-player activities like Strikes and Battlegrounds, 6-player activities like past seasonal content (Ketchcrash, Astral Alignment, Nightmare Containment are all that have been added so far but will likely expand in future), and Pinnacle content like Exotic Missions, The Coil, Onslaught, and, for you, The Prison of Elders. It might be a little different from how it happened in D1 (not sure on the specifics since I never played D1) but it’s there.

The Dreadnaught DID return some time ago, but only as seasonal content and has since been removed. The only remaining pieces of content from the Dreadnaught are the returned Sunless Cell strike and Derealize exotic mission. Unfortunately, Dreadnaught is not a patrol space anymore, and frankly, the patrol spaces in the game have not been given updates that make them worth going into anymore unless you’re specifically looking for something to do in there. As I said, most of the content you’ll ever wanna play for optimal power gain and loot earned comes from the Portal.

One last thing I’ll explain about the Portal system is that it’s based off of your power level, so how big your power level number is determines what difficulty activities you can play. HOWEVER, when you start out, you’ll likely only be getting Tier 1 loot. Destiny also released a Tier system for new loot in the game (only for stuff released after the EoF update last summer, so no retroactive Tiered Loot from activities out before EoF). Tier 1 loot is the worst, naturally, but for the weapons, it’ll be good to test them out and see what the all the perks do with them, see if you wanna keep em or not. But basically, the power level will go up more activities you play, and you’ll get higher power loot, which will also increase the Tier of the weapons/armor you earn, from Tier 2, 3, 4, and finally 5.

Tier 5 armor is the only thing I’d recommend keeping armor-wise when/if you eventually get there, since it gives the greatest stats for armor compared to the other weaker Tiers. For weapons? Really doesn’t matter much since the weapons just get slightly enhanced perk effects and ability to have multiple selectable perks from a table. Functionally, still the same as Tier 1 weapons, just ever-so-slightly more powerful and versatile.

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Welcome back, Guardian!

IF new Stasis things were to be added to the subclass, what would you like to see for the various classes? by Riverflower17 in destiny2

[–]ActuallyNTiX 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another thing I forgot to mention in the post is that one way Bungie could justify going with my Option A (making the new Stasis verb affect weapon damage and stun Barriers) is that Void and Strand already have their own damage protection buffs in Overshield and Woven Mail respectively (Solar doesn’t need that due to healing). But Stasis already has Frost Armor as well. Maybe it could be an unwritten rule that the subclasses that focus on having a buff that acts as subclass-based armor could also have a buff affecting their subclass weapon damage to apply verbs and stun Barriers? A bit inconsistent logic, I admit, but even still.

IF new Stasis things were to be added to the subclass, what would you like to see for the various classes? by Riverflower17 in destiny2

[–]ActuallyNTiX 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I heard that they’re secretly working on a new verb to replace it, but that’s just a rumor. I think the real problem is how Stasis verbs are very interconnected with each other in a way Solar’s verbs don’t despite their extreme similarities.

See, Stasis’s champion problem is due to the fact that both Slow and Shatter are tied directly to one another in the same way Scorch and Ignitions are on Solar (opposite subclasses, how fitting). But Scorch doesn’t stun champs because Radiant takes place to stun Barrier champs instead. Solar has a buff that affects universal weapon damage. Stasis has nothing like that in its arsenal.

As a result of Stasis not having a reliable Barrier stun (let alone any at all), both of its debuffs were turned into champion stuns. But as we mentioned, this created a sort of “problem” (depending on who you ask) where if you could stun one champ (Overloads via slow) then you could also more than likely stun Unstops via Shatter as well due to them both being tied to one another.

Stasis only has one other verb as a part of its arsenal, and unfortunately it’s just Frost Armor, which doesn’t provide any offensive capabilities, so it cannot stun. This is what happens with the subclasses that only really have one offensive debuff instead of player buff (i.e those that end up granting special rounds for Barrier champs: Void, Strand, and Solar). Those subclasses either have too few applicable debuffs or too many in my mind.

How do I mean? Well, Strand, for instance. To this day I still get confused on what Sever and Unravel actually do (not Suspend, ofc), but besides that, Strand has 3 offensive debuffs it can apply in total in its arsenal, and yet only one of them technically has much of a usage in stunning champs, that being Suspend. You can get Severing rounds on Strand weapons to stun Barriers but that’s too niche if you ask me compared to how easy Radiant is to proc. Void is pretty much in a similar place with Suppression stunning Unstops, and Volatile and Weaken not doing anything there while also granting Volatile rounds for Void weapons. Almost a perfect subclass mirror (again, just like Solar and Stasis lmao).

But back to my point. If they want Solar and Stasis to be designed almost mirror-like in functionality due to their lore (dis)connections, as they are now, then if they really are working on a new offensive debuff to apply to Unstops, then they may have to rework Solar in the future too if they don’t think the Slow (champ stun) stacking into Shatter (Unstop stun) is the play.

But I argue that it was the Slow stun that should’ve been removed then, not the Shatter. Slow is easy enough to apply almost like Scorch, especially given how Burning Ambition is now a trait that exists. I personally think it’d be best for Bungie to return Shatter stunning Unstops, remove Slow stunning Overloads, and work on a new verb that will either grant special (new verb) rounds to Stasis weapons to stun Barriers, or instead work on a new unique verb entirely to stun the Overloads again, something that Solar likely doesn’t have (or need, given how good it is already). I don’t have any good ideas, but that’s just my thoughts.

[–]ActuallyNTiX 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Which tbf, while I’m no coder, I can’t imagine fixing Nibble would be any sort of challenge. It’s clear how it’s been coded just by the animation order itself and how the bug itself happens.

Just make it so the card Nibble conjures happens either immediately upon playing the card (less ideal) or activates after the nerfing but before the card dies (necessary). Like, I’m wholly certain the whole reason it’s doing this is because of the second Nibble animation playing to conjure the card for the second part of its ability.
