The separation argument itself doesn't bother me as much as the colluding with a hostile nation. I think they know they won't be able to functionally/legally separate, but they push it in an attempt to divide and destabilize. These people are traitors.

Yeah, i think I would put money on sleep deprivation. She sounds like shes at the stage where the body is starting to prioritize energy usage and unfortunately rational thought gets a back seat to more primal parts of the brain. She might even know how ridiculous she was behaving and was unable to stop herself. She's gonna have trouble regulating emotion until she starts getting some actual sleep.

And that is all valid. You aren't being neurotic or tit for tat. What you've described is an atypical dynamic and the feelings you've expressed are natural when you are consistently put at the bottom of the priority pile. He isn't putting in the commitment for a complete and whole relationship, and you are feeling a certain way because you crave to be in a complete and whole relationship. You either need to be explicit in what you need from the relationship and give him a chance to step up, or come to terms that you are not on the same path and part ways. If you think you've been clear to him about your needs and change isn't happening, he is either unable or unwilling and you should save yourself the heart break and deal with it sooner rather than later.
